here is an ignorant person who things doctors are interchangeable like cell phone batteries.
You walk into a doctors office and he has 30 electronic pages of your history with your previous doctor of 20 years. All listing your major and minor conditions, treatments used, treatments that failed, tests, etc. He has a waiting room filled with people....and you think he can humanly read through and digest your medical history in the 3 minutes he has before walking into your exam room for the first time.

Medical care is already a "beat the clock" profession. Now add millions of people playing musical chairs with their doctors...and you have a recipe for mistakes,

iF YOU CANT SEE THAT...THEN YO ARE TOTALLY BLIND.

I see first hand daily, people getting prescribed medications .....medications that were previously prescribed years before and didnt work or presented a deleterious effect. Precibed bytheir new MD.

this is what happens when people play musical chairs with doctors.

It happens when people change jobs and change insurance...and doctor changes happen at a trickle like pace. Except when the govt gets invovled and it happens to millions....to ensure deteriorated care.

And if the doctor has to spend more time looking over the 30 page chart of the obamacare transferee....he has less time to spend with you...his regular patient....and the regular patient is put in the position fo getting hurried care...and with hurried care...you get mistakes.

There is one very big truth in healthcare....the faster you perform your duties...the more mistakes that are made.

And the day the obamacare switch got turned on...the number of doctors stayed the same....but the number of patients increased....and the number of NEW patients increased for the MDs.......

just go faster....thats all they had to do in order to service everyone....

    faster and faster

Now mat8, not an ignorant person, you frigging BIGOT. This is exactly how the health care system operates in most Western societies. The United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, (haven't seen a doctor in the EU, but fail to see why it would be different) even Asia. Are you saying when you go and see your Doctor he is going to automatically remember your medical history. They usually ask why you're there, you tell them, they do what they need to and do whatever, or "I'm back because of....",

Typical LarryS (does the S stand for Shit?) the way twist things, do you live in some similar like Amish community were the Doctor knows the communities family business and visits people in their home like some kohen?

No pal, when I visit my Doctor, not a single doctor ever reads 30 pages of medical records, same as not a single doctor memorises 30 pages of medical history either, nice bigoted try though.

Hopefully you realise the massive number of white supremacists which voted for Trump, all the good Klan folk, even holding one of their biggest marches in honour of Trump being elected President of ameriKKKa, hate Jews just as much as they hate Blacks. Maybe you think what actually takes place in South American, the Middle East, Asian (Murmar in particular), counties could never happen in the United States? Why, because you are a civilised Western democracy?

Black's persecuted like they were in the 60's, Jews would progressively be included with other ethnic races, just like 1933 all over again. This is what intolerance breeds. Events have to start somewhere and with your recent election and appointee of "leader of the free world". Let's cleanse and make AmeriKKKA great (white) again. Deport all wet-backs back over the border, a few lynchings, shooting will pacify those uppity nigga's, deport muslims. Then you get the real power brokers behind the scenes, those like the David Duke's with their nazi swastik's. Before you know it, Trump has been elected for 8 years, followed by "fuck knows" and before you know it, people are asking how the fuck did that happen.

Yes I know it is extreme and unlikely, however they said the same about Germany, Cambodia (Khmer Rouge), Iraq (American trained Shia death squads), East Timor, Ukraine, Tibet, Uganda, Isreal, no need to go on, because it could never happen in a Western Civilised bankrupt democracy and certainly not in the 21st century, could it LarryS? It all has to start somewhere and before you know it movies like Robocop and the Purge become reality. One of the reasons why some of us fight against fascism from it's very onset.

Oh damn people could actually now afford to see a doctor and you had to work harder. So before Obamacare was switched on, what were these people that couldn't afford to see a Doctor do, get job maybe, earn some money so that can afford to see a Doctor. So Health insurance is now a bigger priority than food on the table or a roof over your head in Larry's world?

This is starting to get really good. I had no idea the tools were as dumb as they appear to be. They really do believe their own sophistry and the rhetoric. Now they are actually running scared from their own shadows. Funny, not a single one of them is leaving though. They just want to cheat a little bit more in order to win. Just like legislating from the bench does for them when they don't win. Perhaps it would be very nice to come up with consequences for all this. But maybe not. They are miserable all the time anyway. Perhaps that enough is retribution. More self inflicted wounds for the pathetic class. I hope we take away the weaponized IRS from them. Maybe use it to turn the tables too. Let's investigate and audit all those Unions that make contributions to Democrat elections.

Let the Democratic Party die on the vine. Drain the Swamp!

Drain the swamp?? So far Trump has done nothing but surround himself with long-time establishment type republicans and most of his likely appointments will be career politician types, many in their 70's. Trump is a master at saying what people want to hear and doing the opposite and that is exactly what this drain the swamp rhetoric was. It's also what the build the wall crap was. There will be no great wall of Trump built.

But for you older folks that supported Trump, there is an issue of financial interest that should be of concern and that is social security. The republicans have long been in favor of scraping social security. They are just against government programs like that, feeling it is up to individuals rather than government to provide for retirement.

In 2000, George W Bush, campaigned on social security "privatization". But, upon being elected he just didn't have the support to get it done, despite republican control of congress. The man in charge of the Bush social security privatization effort was Michael Korbey, a long time advocate for cutting social security and former lobbyist for the investment industry....the same investment industry that would be the only beneficiary of people investing their social security into the stock market (the basis of social security privatization). And the congressman leading the charge in the house of representatives....Mike Pence from Indiana.

So, on Friday, Donald Trump appointed Michael Korbey to lead the way in establishing Trump's social security reform plan. Not hard to figure out where that is going. laugh.gif

So here is the basis of Korbey's privatization plan: Those under 50 would have their social security contributions turned over to them to invest in the stock market (as if most people are qualified to do so). Those currently on social security or approaching social security (over 50), would remain on the plan as is, with one "little" twist. After removing the contributions from the younger workers, there will not be enough money in the "pot" to pay full benefits, so there will be across the board cuts of 30% to current social security participants. Michael Korbey calls that "the sacrifice that current recipients will have to make to ensure benefits for future generations".

Trump didn't get where he is, unpolitically speaking, by catering to the working class. You can either take 50 years of Trump's actual behavior as indicative of what he'll do, or you can take two years of what he's said as indicative of what he'll do. Those 3500 lawsuits weren't against his fellow billionaires.

I hope he smashes social security into the ground. I hope the richest 1% of Americans get even richer, which they will. I hope there's a trade war with China, and Americans get to learn to live with less.

I'm not going to live forever, and this will be entertaining as hell. When people ask me to take off my "Grab 'Em By the Pussy" hoodie, I'll have a "White Dudes Matter" polo underneath.

Korbey will attempt to gut social security; KJ hit the nail on the head.

Less government is always best. Unless, you're a deadbeat unable to manage your own fucking life.

How are the workers who paid into social security for 45 years "deadbeats"? Paying into the program wasn't a choice they made....it was mandatory. And now that it's time for the government to honor that promise they want to reneg. So who is the deadbeat?

HowMany, you do realize the military is "the government," right? I've never understood how people can want "less government" and "more military."

So do we have you on record as wanting less military because people should manage their own fucking security?

I'll go on record. I think the push for less government should dramatically cut military, cut police forces -- local and otherwise, and frankly, if you can't pay for private schooling, why should those of us without children contribute to teaching your mewling brats anything?

I say yes to less! Less government. Less military! Fewer police! And let's end the plague that is public schooling!

Anyone who's not a deadbeat should be able to manage their own fucking lives, as HowMany said.

Anything the government provides can be provided better and cheaper by the business community.

I challenge liberals to name one fucking thing that government took over and made it better/cheaper.

Everything government touches turns to shit.

Damn right, less government is better.

Now we have Koolstradamus's advice of those that think they are not the problem. Legislate that while your team is on the bench. We won. Ever hear something like that before? You missed the morning memo, talking points, deficit spending will destroy the economy.
