MrV is like some tawdry slut that a man of means brings to a party. Before the event he might have given her some bauble to put on her finger. Well, the slut gets juiced up and sloppy, but in the midst of incoherent babble she keeps thrusting her finger forward to show off her new ring, as if to say, Look people, I'm not just some cheap slut I'm wearing a nice ring he gave me. Of course, unbeknownst to her it's just a synthetic stone surrounded by CZ.

Similarly, when MrV is confronted by evidence that he's a nobody jealous of others, desperate to try to pull them down, like clockwork he starts with the stoned unintelligible but...but...I have money in the bank and some assets, I can't possibly just be some jealous lowlife.
