Players and fans call me that.

    Did you coach football?

Never had time for the Nike clinics, too busy coaching winter sports.

Anyone who "bet their house" on this game, as Rob Singer suggested, would now be homeless, just like Rob, living off his kids. :D

Lamar Jackson vastly improved his passing, but it hasn't been there much this year. I suspect Hurts will eventually have to stop running if he wants to continue playing at a high level.

Too bad Tom Brady can't run. It might've helped them lose by only 2 TD's today.

    Look who's cherry-picking.

If you are lucky enuf to live 5-10 more years--which from your history of diseases, illnesses and very risky lifestyle it doesn't appear that you will--youll come to understand that there are many, many studies, journals, articles, and reports that contradict one another when it comes to healthy eating and safe drinking habits.

Responsible people develop their own path based on all that conflicting information. And for those who do, they tend to live long, healthy, and prosperous lives

Ya know Rob, a couple days ago when you were singing the praises of Brady, you told us how he treated people decently.

I don't know how you would know that, but if you really believe that, it is a shame you haven't followed the example of someone you idolize so.

After today's blowout, yeah, if I were a pothead and abuser of alcohol (as most are in the Portland, Or. area, as we've seen from how the mayor with his fried brain runs the place into the ground by letting the druggies run rampant) then I would very likely fall on a sword.

But because I have a busy and full life and I personally didn't bet or lose a dime on this game, if people listened or didn't listen to me, I care not.

    I hope a few here did :)

The funny thing about that game -- I thought the opening line would be Pick or -1 either way. When it came out SF -3 1/2, I rolled my eyes. When I'm that far off on a college line, I generally win. When I'm that far off on an NFL line, I'm generally missing something and will lose.

As I've been saying -- if the Bucs were in another division, everyone would be commenting on Brady's degraded physical skills. But because they are in first, and pulled two games out of their asses, people are quiet.

It's a rare thing when a Brady game gets yanked from a national telecast before the third quarter is finished. That's a first, I think.

I'm just glad that I took all SF to win outright in various contests. That was helpful. Had the line been SF -1, I would have debated who to take.

Rob gives great advice. If your life is full and you took his advice and bet the house on the game, you'll be okay because your life is full. If your life is empty and you bet the house on the game, well, it's your own fault for having a not full life.

    What a Gambling God!

I know you live your life online, but I don't. I see this as an opportunity to do what I don't do in my real life and never have, both business and personal. I loathe how people have turned to social media and how Soooo important it is to them. These folks, to me, are losers who simply ask for beatdowns, bad-mouthing and insults over the airways.

Live your life in public and face-to-face. It--and talking by phone--are the only real ways to interact with others. All this pussified, cowardly posting and tweeting etc. is for phonies. I do it mainly to get under people's skin because I've been so successful in my business, private, and gambling lives, and there's no one better at it.

The worst thing I see is when people text or read their phones while driving, because they allow that nonsense to bother the shit out of them if things aren't "looking right".... kinda just like you and your ultra dependence on what the forums are saying about you. It's stuff I laugh at when I sit down and open a forum up. You----you let it ruin your day and sometimes, your life. So stupid.

I also despise seeing people walking with their heads down reading their dumb phones. I'd like to trip every single one of the fools.

If you had DirecTV Sunday Ticket you would have been able to watch the whole game. Kind of surprised a self-proclaimed sports betting luminary such as yourself doesn't rely on it.

Or....are you the phony most forum members think you are??

LOL. That's what I need. Television advice from Rob Singer.

We have more televisions here than most sports books.

Now let's examine Rob's argument here. if you don't have Direct TV, you're a phony. Sounds good, Rob. What everyone needs to do is watch every NFL game because that's how one handicaps the NFL. By watching every game. Boy, I'd hate to apply that logic to college basketball -- that would make for a lot of viewing.

Rob, you do realize you sound like a gamble-holic, don't you? I'll bet you're one of those dudes who keeps Sunday Ticket on the Red Zone channel for maximum buzz.

In case anyone is wondering, I have a satellite on the roof but no longer use it. I stopped the whole Direct TV schtick about six years ago. I have every cable service and streaming known to man...for 100 days. Then I dismantle 80% of our TVs the week after the college regular season, which was two weeks ago. I can't really properly watch more than six college games simultaneously these days, so I only have six televisions and a couple of laptops on the table desk for 100 days. Then I switch to two big screens to better watch movies.

Aw yes, if watching the NFL was the key to handicapping it. Rob, have you ever considered that, it may be possible that NOT watching the NFL is key to handicapping it? I'm not saying that's the case, but it certainly bears considering.

Yes, every expert handicapper has Direct TV. That's the (Sunday) Ticket, as Jon Lovitz used to say on SNL.

Oh, and to be clear, I'm not the only handicapper living here. The set-ups in the other rooms are arguably better than my set-up.

Yin and yang, Rob: you like living in conservative enfironments, I enjoy the more free, open, progressive minset of Portland.

Yeah, the mayor is an idiot, but I didn't vote for him, nor do I support antifa or believe the BLM bullshit.

I guess I am a "druggie" (at least as to weed) but as more and more states allow it I see hope for this fair land: get off the booze, get on the bong.

I had an interesting experience with the Mary Jane, MrV. LOL. I have never imbibed at all, not even once, although I have been in vehicles wherein black hash was being smoked and the residue was so thick on the inside of the windows that you could cut it with your finger. But I digress.

Anyway, I have never smoked it at all, but I did help some friends who were trying to get in on the impending legalization in California. So I worked as a trimmer for a couple of days. I was terrible at it, it turned out. I'd never done it before, and I figure I would make a lousy surgeon. But here's the story. The smell in the house where I was trimming was so cloying and thick that after an afternoon in there, when I'd step outside, I'd actually get momentarily nauseous as the anti-nausea effects of breathing it in wore off. It was an unexpected, consistent effect. Caught me by surprise. Lasted between five and maybe 20 minutes. Just a gentle nausea. I never barfed, but I felt queasy once I was away from the air laced with the Mary J.

Whoa, never heard a tale like that one: interesting.

I spent a summer in hot 'Lanta in '73 and bought a pound of weed from a guy in the apt. complex; he was weird, a paranoid vet (long range reconnaissance patrol) recently back from Vietnam who always had a .357 by his hand.

He burned me on the weed: tasted great, but had no effect: a male plant (it's the female ones that have the high THC).

Obviously the weed I first tasted was not the shit he sold me, as the stuff I smoked with him was stellar.

He refused to refund the money, and I refused to press the matter with a drug-crazed, quasi-psychotic armed lunatic.

My friends at school refused to buy it, so it looked like I got burned, but then...a black guy I knew tried it, and asked for some more.

Soon thereafter he told me he'd buy all of it, that he and his black brethren thought it was great.

I'll tell you this much: I don't think people that really have a full and happy life are constantly trying to convince strangers on the internet that they have a full and happy life.

By the same token, I also don't think people that have really hit large jackpots are constantly repeating that they have hit some large jackpot. As soon as someone does that everyone knows it is not true. And that goes for someone telling you how much they win every single day in a long running "adventure thread". As soon as someone does that, guarantee it is not true.

Now yes, I have shared amounts that I have made annually, but for a very different reason. The opposite reason actually, to show what amounts can really be made card counting in this day and age and the swings associated with those amounts. I even have shared lousy years and shared details of weeks and months long losing periods. That is very different than some guy claiming he hit the largest video poker jackpot in Las Vegas history and for some odd reason the casino doesn't want that publicized.

Clue: It just doesn't take all that much to figure out who knows what they are talking about and who is just talking.

The "happy, full life" thing can be summarized by "Methinks he doth protest too much."

One of my favorite Rob stories is when he said he'd been asked to host a video poker roundtable at the annual big deal gaming conference in LV. When I called and asked about it -- no such roundtable. Rob then explained that it had been moved to his private suite.

You hit the nail on the head: YOU DON'T THINK MUCH. That's the problem with your flailing generation kew--real life is just too much for you people. You believe life has past you by, and it's your own fault.

Look at you for instance. You have ZERO life skills, you couldn't feel comfortable around women so you chose what appeared to be the easy way out: switch into queer gear, no one and no thing has benefitted from your existence, you're too embarrassed over your shortcomings to lead a real life so you hide your humiliation by living it as a big lie on internet forums, and most of all--you are SOOO jealous of those who've made it where you have failed, and all you can do about it is repeat the same lies, battered philosophy, and show how much others are like a thorn in your side.

    You're quite the representative. :)
