MrV, you no doubt are one of the full blown assholes at VCT. Their are so many of you over there, you weirdos are blinded by the over abundance of stupidity. How would you expect a good forum at VCT when it is loaded with so many communists left wing liberals? Look what use did to this country in 4 years. Imagine a shithole forum?

Everything you said above sounds no different then any other businessman in this crooked country. Also when was Trump convicted for all those felonies? What was the penalty for them?

Are you part of the remaining 35% of the morons still watching CNN, MSNBC, View, JOY, etc.?

It's sad to see someone of your age seeing things so twisted. Did you get a service dog to comfort you after the election? You FUCKING idiot.

Thanks for the upliiting words, Blackhead.

I voted Libertarian so I expected my candidate to lose: no big deal to me as I dislike both Trump and Harris.

Trump is simply too flawed, too old, too much the flim-flam carnival barker bullshitter to successfully navigate this ship of state.

He failed the first time, I expect no better now: but I hope he doesn't sink us all.

The fact that "any other businessman" is as flawed as Trump does not remove the stain.

The sad thing is...I'm actually a "left-wing liberal communist," at least by 1975 definitions of "left-wing liberal communist," and I still thought Trump was the clear-cut better choice.

So what does that say about how completely off the rails and dishonest the 2024 Democratic Party has been? It has evolved into, geez, I'm actually gonna say it, an evil, intellectually dishonest mess, all the while accusing everyone else of intellectual dishonesty and ignorance.

Blackhole, I ain't the only dude with my profile who feels this way. If you listen to Bill Maher, he's one step away from being me. And people like Bret Weinstein have come to the only logical conclusion -- the 2024 Democratic Party has imploded into an illogical, unscientific wreck.

Hey redietz: It occurred to me that you live in the zone where Helene wreaked havoc: did the flooding affect you and yours?

On a personal basis, we were about 20 miles from bad flooding. We got 3 or 4 inches of rain one day, but people 50 miles away were getting a foot. My house escaped relatively unscathed, or at least I thought, but we live on the side of a small mountain, and the ground settling broke our pipes by the street. Hiring a plumber was almost impossible, given the demand for far worse projects, so my house is still all messed up plumbing-wise. I have about a 1K water bill and a similar electric bill (water heater kept running) to show for it.

I drove to the Asheville airport (about 60 miles away) for my last LV trip. After about 12 miles, I saw the factory where half a dozen employees were swept away. That's how close we were. I can understand why the factory bosses didn't think to evacuate. There are lower elevation places five to 10 miles away that were relatively unaffected. But the river proximity just devastated the immediate land around the plant.

Asheville itself was wrecked. They took major damage. The famous Biltmore Estate had to close.

Amazing, and seemingly unprecedented in modern times.

For this area, yeah. You drive by that plant, and it had big holes in its walls and roof, and still, it's higher than the surrounding area and higher than the interstate on which I drove while looking at it, so you don't think, "Yeah, that place will be completely flooded." Employees went out to the parking lot and climbed onto a flatbed truck to try to stay above the water, but the water knocked the truck over and half a dozen were swept away.

I saw stretches between the plant and the crest of the mountain halfway to Asheville that were just a mess. Complete wipeouts of some small towns. The debris hasn't been cleaned up yet. The strange thing is that it reminded me of tornado damage in that one side of the road is wrecked; the other looks untouched.
