Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

When I opened my Bovada account a couple of years ago I went through the Wizard of Odds site. I could have taken other routes but I felt like throwing Shack a bone. WOO gets a percentage of what I'm raked off for in the poker games. So that's how Zuga makes his money with Bovada, at least in the poker games. For the other forms of gambling on Bovada Zuga most likely gets a percentage of a players losses that sign up through him.

 

why would you think that? Wov has a bunch of ads that put money in the pockets of the owners. If wov goes away, a certain amount of money stops entering their pockets.No one considers a cut in income to be acceptable.
No one would have the attitude...i make enough money in ad revenue on woo, so I can afford to lose the added income form wov.

 

I doubt that Zuga gets payed for the ads. It is more likely he takes a percentage of the losses incurred by those who sign up to the online casinos through his sites. Or in the case of poker he takes a percentage of what the player gets raked off for.

 

Buzzard has been posting again and the mods are loving it. Take that, Zoogie. They're laughing at you again as they show everyone who's really boss. Go ernestmiddle! Any minute now the mods will feign surprise at what everyone already knows. Will ernestmiddle make the suspension list or will he be swept under the rug like many of his previous names?

 

so you are saying that bovada opens up their books/computers, so that zuga can verify monies owed to him for advertising.

Or does bovada just come up with a number anf zuga has to accept it.

I don't know anything about that, Larry. Shack had made the comment that he would appreciate it if people would sign up for Bovada Poker through his site because he got a percentage of what you were raked off for. I could have used a different avenue to get on Bovada and would have gotten a bonus. But I decided to throw Shack a bone. I'm also one of the idiots who sent him $100 went he had the tin cup out. LOL!

 

One more thing about Bovada. If you are a Baseball bettor, and mostly like to bet underdogs like I do, you can find some pretty good money line prices on Bovada. Like five or ten points more than the concensus line.

Her BS aside, let's take a look at one who was not afforded a second chance. Kentry used the non word "fuced" following a very long tradition at WOV of disguising colorful language. No warning, no 3 day suspension. Straight to 7 days.

He was later nuked without having done anything wrong. Husband of the year/flophouse janitor didn't like him and came up with this: "Participating on a gambling forum is not the best thing for him". Nuked just like that. Nuked by the guy who forces his girlfriend to gamble after she clearly states that she doesn't want to....is not comfortable doing so. After telling him that she has seen problem gambling in her own home. He didn't care as he slowly "groomed" her. Once he accomplished that he then bragged about it on the forum. What a man!

So tell us more of the fairness that you claim. beached whale. The cult members are afraid to speak out. That must give you a great and powerful feeling. Anyone who does summon the courage to tell you what they really think will be swiftly banned. Keep lying to your minions.

The link to 1BB's ban proves that. Practically a founding member, this is the personal insult FIRST OFFENSE that got him banned.

The manboy did gleefully post that he was ready to dole out punishment because he was in a bad mood. If that isnt vindictive or retaliatory..I dont know what is. Its retaliating against an innocent person rather than the person that put him in the bad mood.

Well, it didn't take long for blackhole to get a 30 day first suspension. Babs came down hard. Don't mess with the boys. That's to bad. blackhole made the thread interesting and they killed it. But what is hilarious about the 'getting backed off" thread to me is this. It was basically Paigowdan, an industry insider who worked in casinos most of his life, and an AP hater who knows from experience that AP's cut into casino profits, against the AP's in a pissing contest. Then a young upstart, blackhole, with no AP know how, jumps in the thread, not believing in AP or AP's don't make that much money. So now you have Paigowdan on one side lambasting AP's for sucking down the casinos bottom lines and blackhole on the other lambasting AP's as liars who don't make any money. They had the AP's heads going back and forth. Hysterically funny!

No one is denying that there are bonafide APs out there. There are in every aspect of gambling that most can't conceive. But the ones bragging the most about their lavish lifestyles...I don't think so.

Freddy, if someone who is both a member here and a member of WoV would send invitations through the WoV PM function, to everyone who gets banned, for them to join this forum, it wouldn't be long that we have more active members than WoV has. LOL!

 

There are still some good people on that site and they would do well here. The key word is active. How many are active over there? Maybe 10% of that padded membership?

He was initially given 3 days for asking axel if he lived at home with his mother. In the context, it is not an insult. He was merely asking if he has to sacrifice in order to be and AP.....asking if his casinos winnings pay for rent, utilities, insurance etc. Note he asked if he lived with his "mom"....not "mommy" in a condescending manner.
And then he gets 30 days for past comments that were not adjudicated. Is that the way things go. Youlet things go until you have alot of so called violations, and then give a whopping large punishment? You dont give the initial punishment so the person is put on notice and could use it as a warning? How oppressive is that?

You are correct. Blackholes only sin is to be persuasive, and even toned. He was very well prepared to question those that brag about being APs.

The difference is Alan M was on the wrong side of issues, and Axel is on the right side. Punishment s doled out based on personal stances on issues rather than on real violations of rules.
