PS: Welfare Kewlj will now jump in and say I'm living off SS. Yes, I filed for SS at the age of 66 years, 6 months. I wanted to wait until 70 but the heart attack made me file early. The SS don't even pay a third of my bills. Welfare Kewlj will also try to tell you that SS is welfare. No, it isn't. It's a retirement program you involuntarily pay for. And it has a shitty longterm return. The worst investment one will make in their lifetime. But you have no choice. The government forces it on you. If anything SS is a ripoff. Welfare Kewlj will also not tell you that one day he will be drawing SS. It will be then that he quits calling it welfare.

Of course social security is not welfare and IS basically an insurance program, just the same as unemployment insurance is. My partner was on social security. He was on the disability program, also an insurance program that he paid into.
