Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

Bluejay, and the other people who came up with the Wizard of Odds concept, required someone smart enough to do some simple math, or at least appear so, but dumb enough to go for what had little chance of succeeding for long. Ratings had begun to steadily fall there after only two years, let alone ever went viral. Too much circling the wagons by the five or six of them throughout. But the five or six of them bit off more than they could chew. Zero new gambling concepts and applications; and the inability to hold science discussions beyond the high school level.

You can't make orange juice of lemons, no matter how the pieces of the puzzle arranged and spread out.

 

He had a failing business when he sold. As evidenced by the fact he was begging for donations.
He was very lucky to sell a failing business for 2 mil.
I dont begrudge him of getting the cash. Thats great. Anyone who sells a failing business for a profit is very fortunate.

However he carries with him what caused the busienss to be failing..his inability to interact with humans...and that curse still haunts that board

 

By the way, Beached whale is going to try to rip MrV a new asshole, asshe says his suggestion is "garbage".....but she cant do it now because she has to go eat.

Although beached whale asserts we may be "ill" over here......the 23k visits dont seem to think so. If we can be dismissed as just mentally ill people....then its unsustainable. However the views are growing in number and growth rate.
Certainly KJ has much to do with it....yet his story is the same story being told here since the beginning.

so dismss us as being "ill"....or do what V says.....look inward and ask what you can do to stop the insanity of members leaving

Sure, my suggestion that MS consider giving up being a mod (and with it the oh so satisfying power to SMITE your detractors) might appear to be a veiled attack, but I think it's worth considering, for the good of the order.

He's obviously stressed out by the fall out of the KJ nuke, given his voluntary three day suspension and his recently penned vitriolic screed.

I guess I'm the guy telling him it may be time for an intervention.

The beached whale dismisses your suggestion as "garbage", even after you followed up trying to couch it as a non attack and well intentioned.
As much as you presented a restrained,well thought out observation and suggestion....it was dismissted as garbage.
And to boot we were relegayed to being possible "ill".

yes we found a board and are abiding by the rules. What do they have to complain about.

At one time I was happy to post within the rules....and still got nuked......and others were in the same boat as me.

So now we found a place that doesnt have arbitrarily enforced rules like wov.......and they are moaning

We found a place with stable mods

We found a place where a thread with good points on an unpopular side of an issue is not "locked" or censored

We found a place without socially backward mentally scared people using punishment as their daily vitamins

 

The biggest joke of all? Mentioning manboy and integrity in the same sentence. Eggshells from now on MrV.....eggshells.

 

The part that never got vetted early on was putting others first when trying help, inform, etc.

It's so common nowadays to see the helpers lining their own pockets first and foremost. Goes on for a while until people start asking questions, eg, about the money trail.

Shackleford is so stubborn and vain, that he'll not step aside. But people keep trying to protect him there. He'll never grow up.

 

They actually make our points for us through their actions.

The beached whale as a representative of management as a board monitor did not start her response with "I respectfully disagree". Isnt that what a normal well adjusted person does? But she shows her contempt for a member in good standing with her response. She shows her socially backward behavior. Isnt this what we talk about?And like a trained walrus she performs as we expected.

I bet no one behind the scenes ever says to her...please dont talk to our valued customers like that.

Well I am sensitive to seeing my fellow neighbors mistreated by your petty unbalanced administration of rules.

I am sensitive to someone having an unpopular view, getting 3 days,suspension, and then almost immediately getting changed to 30 days without having the benefit of the first warning as previous infractions were decided to be included.
I am sensitive to your entire fucking demeaning attitude as a person of power on the board....as a conduit of management......and you carry yourself in an offensive way.
I am sensitive to a manboy keeping a post begging for money up while he is negotiating a multimillion dollar contract....and then decides to return money when he is first asked. Not before

So clean up your shit before you start moaning about this thread. And stop moaning about what YOU are sensitive about. Start treating people like humans and you will be just fine. You might enjoy life better in spite of your "sensitivity"

BBB, I don't have any issues with you. You and I have gotten along well and while I don't always agree with your thoughts (especially politics), I can't recall ever saying or even thinking a bad word about you. Now truth be told, I didn't concern myself with any moderating issues between you and others. And I am sorry you have had to endure some of the personal attacks that you have. I obviously don't speak for anyone here, when I say that, only myself.

I feel comped to correct a couple things said in your Mr V rebuttal concerning me, that I feel were inaccurate or mis-represented. Since you were not directly involved in either of these discussions, perhaps they were relayed to you incorrectly and that is why your account is in error.

First, I did not initially break any rules at WoV. When Qfit joined the site, for the sole purpose of continuing a feud and getting Mike to ban me, he and I went back and forth for a little while, yes, but no rules were broken to my knowledge. No real insults other than accusations that he wasn't being truthful. Perhaps the stronger version "lie" was spoken, I don't remember. If a rule had been broken or an insult issued that violated site policy, I am more than sure Mike wouldn't have hesitated to suspend me.

As it turned out the first PM I received from Mike on the matter (dated Jan 7) started out "Although it isn't addressed in the rules, we administrators don't like it when....". That tells you no rules were broken. So please don't lump me in with others who may have violated rules......I did not!

Incidentally in just looking back over the PM's to get my facts straight, the next PM I received from Mike a month later starts "Norm has complained that you....". I only bring that up because I remember Qfit answered charges by other members by saying he never asked Mike to suspend me. Yet another lie from the great software guru. He probably learned that untruthful behavior from all those years on Wall Street. That seems to be what those folks do.

Second you stated that Mike made an effort over months to work things out with KJ. He did? When? If Mike was so bothered at the lost of KJ as you stated, why not once did he initiate communication with me? Each and every time there was communication between us, it was me reaching out to him. What he has done along the way is stop ways for continuing communication.

Banning me meant that I had no way to communicate with him. Not realizing I still had a method of communicating through DT, my first attempt at keeping the avenue of communication open was to send a letter to his home. No response. Maybe he thinks that was inappropriate. I almost walked over and handled it to him, since I live half mile away. lol

Then when I realized I still had an avenue of communication available through DT, a site I don't participate on, I sent him a PM on 4/25 that went nowhere. Nearly a month later, on May 18, I sent another PM, hoping to initiate dialogue. Then yet again on May 28. It was this PM that I initiated on May 28, that lead to some productive discussions. Unfortunately I ended those discussions when he informed me he would have to clear any agreement with Qfit. WTF! I thought I was engaged in discussions with Mike Shackleford, the top guy at the site. I just didn't realize that Qfit was the one really in control!! Makes me wonder just what kind of hold Qfit has over Shack....maybe some nude pics doing something on a unicycle. (that's a joke, not attack).

Anyway my point being, if Mike was so bothered by the way things worked out, why not once did he reach out to me? I tried to keep the lines of communication open and he made it harder and harder each step of the way. So no he's not the one who tried to keep avenues of communication open and work this out. I'll take credit for that. He likely was only recently receptive because of the negative blowback he was getting from his own membership, even months after his actions. And Monday in a fit of anger, he closed my account at DT, closing the last possibile avenue of communication. So please spare me the "Mike was so upset by this whole situation routine and spent months trying to resolve it". You are mis-informed!

 

Notice that KJ didnt respond to the "sensitive" mod with the sentence..."your post is garbage".
Take note how to communicate.
And KJ is not a mod...he has no higher standard as someone in a position of power might
Yet he communicated with the sensitive one without contempt, without pettiness, without dismissiveness

I think her post was "garbage".......hearing now the truth. She is an idiot if she thinks the manboy told her the real story. And here she is going to battle for the manboy, defending him with faulty info. So funny.

 

Wow ... that whole thing over there sounds like a typical love triangle gone bad. The more and more I'm reading and learning about what actually is going on over there, the more I realize the entire site and most of it's long time members are a complete fraud.

The simple way to confirm that goal is a complete lie, just read a bunch of any of the posts made by the list of the top posters at the site.

 

I have to tell you, I’m having more and more doubts about this alleged 2.3 million dollars the Serbs allegedly paid for those sites. There must be one hell of a stipulation agreement tied to that deal over one hell of a long time before that type of money is paid out.

My first thoughts are a quick and minimum as possible upfront payment is made. After all, the guy was broke and had a tin cup out already expressing in his own words his concerns for his family. He obviously wasn’t in any position of strength for any reasonable negotiations. When you’re desperate any deal thrown on the table is going to sound like a good deal.

If the sites were even worth 2.3 million dollars and the Serbs wanted him to remain on board, they certainly wouldn’t hand a gambler that type of money out of the gate. Regardless, what any signed agreement says about remaining, once the money is gone (or lost) the deal is usually gone also.

My guess would be the Serbs give him a bare minimum upfront payment, (getting his family safe for now) with annual salaries only being paid if he continues to run the sites under his self-acclaimed Wizard disguise. If the sites survive he gets his annual salary which would expire once 2.3 million is paid out. If all is good, member count etc., he gets to negotiate a new deal at that time. Maybe this is why the Serbs are letting him have his way with the sites. No more skin off their back after the down payment was made.

Remember, when your tin cup is out, smart people take advantage regardless how minimal the advantage might be.

My scenario of what took place is no different then what everyone else assumes what happened ($2,3000,000.00 dollars) with no confirmed actual facts at all. This windfall of money (with no proof what so ever) perfectly fits in with the AP’s at the same sites claims. How ironic…….

 

Have you ever seen another gambling forum with a wall of shame (suspension list)? No. They just ban the person and let them go on their merry way. Maintaining that list says everything you need to know about Shackleford. He is the judge, jury, and executioner on embarrassing people by maintaining them on a shame list in perpetuity. Is this the act of a benevolent person? No. Is this the act of a fair person? No. Is this the act of an egomaniac? Yes. Is this the act of a person who thinks he is above everyone else. Absolutely.

Shackleford runs his site with an iron fist. The members have to be cordial to each other. How benevolent of him. But he bequeaths his minions the right to attack former members as viciously and vociferously as they want....in perpetuity. Is this the act of an abusive person. Yes.

The unvarnished truth about the KJ fiasco has pretty much come to light now. He banned KJ not using one of the established rules to do so. He did it at the behest of Wattenberger. Wattenberger was allowed to run roughshod over the WoV forum. Wattenberger was untouchable for suspension by the underling mods (don't mess with Shackleford). They had to stand on the sidelines while Wattenberger spewed his venom. Anyone else would have been suspended for such actions.

What is sad to me is how many members over there still have their noses up Shackleford's ass. They act surprised and even shocked that there would be any blowback on Shackleford's actions as described above, vis a vie, members of another forum exposing Shackleford for what he is. Not everyone is going to take Shackleford's actions lying down.

Shameful Michael Shackleford. That's his name.

JustALuck asks the forum to recommend books, articles etc to become a successful AP. The guy's not new...been on the forum awhile and asks an interesting question.

Here's PokerGrinder's answer: "I really enjoy One fish two fish red fish blue fish. Everybody poops is is also very informative". You see, Pecker Grinder choked down 100 nuggets and that makes him a rock star...a rock star in the twisted minds of those who organize such events.

As a rock star he can hijack threads, belittle someone who asks a legitimate question and utter complete nonsense with impunity. Another one who calls for the suspension of others and has no qualms about driving away members. Why is the site dying again?

In the NTEK thread Little Axel takes exception to MrV discussing Aaron. He can correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't MrV support Aaron by buying stock in his company? I think that give him the right to discuss anything he wants.

Our slot "pro" is not unbiased, however, as he shared that he is in communication with Aaron. I wonder if he bought any stock. Then he calls MrV "coy".

Maybe he's trying to get MrV to join his entourage.
