Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

Do you know this for sure? I think I asked this before and you didn't answer. The more people that deposit money the better chance you might have. But their is always a limit. WOV has probably reached their limit in negotiations. They could lose 90% of their members and posts in one day and still get the maximum deal. So ya, they can tell you to Fuck off just because and they will still do just fine. As I said before, the forum is -EV for them. They only make money when people play or make deposits. Most of the members on that forum highly discourage online gambling, yet that's where all their money comes from. Go take a look @ casinomeister and see how mad they get when you talk ill of any of their online casinos. That's because it costs them money and the casinos cant stand it.

Yes, I am angry, upset, and I suppose bitter. I feel I was treated unfairly and something I enjoy taken from me for no good reason. I'll take your word that you came here for me. I honestly believe that you did and I appreciate that. I appreciate having the chance to discuss the circumstances of my situation with you. (although you didn't answer my last reply to your long post. I am not even sure you read it). But now that we are past the reason you came here, you seem to be enjoying yourself. I said before I think you, Mr axelW enjoy a certain amount of drama.

And for what it's worth, if you came here just for me, you can leave now, because I am done here.

There are some things about this forum that I don't care for, but have looked the other way....that's the way things are done here. Hell I am running out of forums that will have me. BUT, something occurred the other day that I just cannot get past, nor tolerate. There is no way I can participate on a forum that allows this. I wasn't going to make a big deal, was just going to exercise my option to exit quietly, but since I have started, I will voice my objection first.

I don't like attacks of people based on personal things like race, nationality sex, sexual orientation. If that is the best argument you have with someone, then you really have no argument. You are just out of ideas. But I endured the attacks on my sexuality as best I could. Actually it was degrading to stoop to that level and fight that fight. But I looked the other way.

While this site not only allows but apparently loves all the name calling, I have a real problem with attacking a woman based on her appearance and that most definitely includes weight. A real man does not do that under any circumstances. And just because it is the internet/message board site does not make that acceptable. And the fact that someone may be a poor moderator and or have unjustifiably suspended or banned someone is not justification. And it should be noted here, that I have been critical of BBB. I think she over-moderates. Criticism of that is fair, but attacking a woman based on appearance is just unacceptable.....period! But again, I said my piece and looked away.

But I can not overlook the posting of a picture of her. As an AP, privacy is sacred! Real names, pictures, personal info. Because of the nature of AP's relationship with the casino industry and the 'cat & mouse' game most of us are forced to play, this kind of thing effects our livelihood. Now BBB may not be making a living though AP. I don't know if she even engages in any AP. That is not the issue. I will not participate on a site that allows anyone to violate member's privacy like this. And the fact that she allowed herself in a previous group picture is completely irrelevant and no defense.

And here's a note to the management here: I am aware that AP/gambling is not your specialty. You are just running a site under that name. But if you desire to have any legitimate AP's be part of gambling discussions here, you better fix this. Privacy is paramount to AP's and allowing “outings” like this should not be tolerated under any circumstances!

And finally to Junket King who posted the for-mention picture. If you are an AP, you are the biggest asshole in our community. If not...then you are just flat out a sleeze bag!

 

Use common sense. This site doesn't have enough members and there is no negotiated contracts. As more traffic occurs there will be banners here.
On top of that....let's pick a number that's high. Let's say that a site had a million daily visits. Well then these online casinos would be falling all over themselves to get prime space.so if 1 million is not realistic...what is the number that makes these sites excited...is it 5k...12k...
20k? Whatever the number....you will get intense interest....and with intense interest comes competing bids for prime space. Maybe Even A Sweetened Bid To Be The Only advertiser..
I know business and I have common sense.
And even if the above never happened....The more traffic....The more people available to sign up on the banners.............
.The more money you make. And if customers of your site post and in return attract more traffic via their effort and expertise...that is the value of posters...they help youmake more money.

If you notice I was a member, but my first post was to you only and not even on this thread. Unfortunately I stayed and continued with the drama and BS.

I think it's a smart move to exit for all the reasons you mentioned, especially if you have a book coming out and have any interest in someday doing something different along them lines. You never know what can happen. Sometimes just being associated with the wrong situation can cause problems. Perhaps they will adapt some different rules at some point. Upon your quiet exit I'll be posting significantly less, I wish you and everyone (including Larry) good luck.

 

Not that I give a flying monkey what your opinion is, YES she over moderates and is rather zealous about it, she comes across as bitter, chastising whenever she can, ruling over the forum with some sort of cane to get the children to toe the line.

What makes somebody like that? I don't know the witch, however pictures paint a thousand words. She could be fat and ugly yet have a heart of gold, but she doesn't and takes her bitterness out on people she doesn't know, so it works both ways. Due to the vacuum in her life, she takes her role far too seriously, then again Shackleford is a domineering autocratic prat, so maybe it is understandable.

She has screwed that forum, is hugely disliked (excluding the EB mind games) yet remains, she must be very thick skinned or the bitterness runs very deep. And on that point, yes I've been bumped from that board, could still post, but it's not really a gambling site is it. More of a cliche get together where the most active threads over there are the non-gambling related ones.

I was going to include that in my last thread, but got hit by the edit time limit. There are posts on the WoV site about me that I immensely dislike and find embarrassing, yet they remain, since I was bumped can be insulted at will along with anybody else, but have no recourse, no rebuttal, can't even complain. As far as I'm concerned, what goes around comes around, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Capish.

Want to kill a forum or at least severely limit its growth? Make people feel unsafe and that they can't have their privacy if so desired.

 

We are all guilty of giving Larry what he wants, attention. He always says it's not about him, he is just concerned about random people he feels are wronged. Yea, I believe that too.

Other than the WOV guys coming over to argue pro or con about the site, there isn't much here. I like reading Mickey but the rest seems to be roulette scammers and believers and not much more.

I agree with KJ on the Babs pic and said so the other day. Sounding like Larry repeating myself over and over, WOV does what it's owners and managers allow and I have yet to see anyone who has a legitimate beef that has been banned. KJ got baited, but didn't think straight and paid for it. He will live and will be fine and perhaps even make some money off it in his book.

So I'm done debating it. If Larry considers it a win, enjoy the celebration if it makes you feel better. Tell everyone we came and couldn't hang with you. By everyone I mean those other banned guys who can't move on from being banned from an Internet forum.

I'm sure the views and pages will keep going up here and many WOV guys will continue to read it. After all we all love train wrecks and drama. And I know some of these guys will create new names to post under if things get slow.

The fact EB is the most prominent poster really sums it up (those that frequented GamblerGlen in days gone by will understand). How I'd love for that screwball to grow a pair and post even a snippet of what he used to post on the GG site for over a decade. I'm sure he'd love to, but he's knows how long he would last if he choose to act like his real self.

Elliots site along with WoO are the go to sites for relevant gambling information you can actually digest, the rest are waffle boards, and why anybody in their right mind could upon being appointed a moderator then proceeds with such passion, zest, enthusiasm, diligence and dedication is a reflection of the said person. A few pages prior kinda summed it up, BBB spent a whole month ascertaining if a poster was a former member who was barred, Jesus Wept, is your life that meaningless, your self esteem that low? There are plenty of "self help" books around which would be more beneficial then trawling logs looking for IP matches and memorizing posters writing styles.

What makes it more laughable, it's not like any are picking up a nice fat pay check (excuse the pun) . Hopefully when the almighty AP [sic] Shackleford made his windfall and managed to keep his kids in private school and a house over his head the mods still got a "nice drink out if it", somehow I doubt it... So why doesn't she ease off!! Why doesn't she quit, is Shackleford manipulating her, is she indebted, controlled? She could choose to spend some of that inordinate amount of spare time she must have by enrolling in some therapy group, get over her deep rooted self beliefs and maybe focus on becoming a nice person, enjoy life free from all the flack, she does herself no favors, none whatsoever.

Those WoV devotees that have wormed their way over here might be appalled, to those voyeurs, step back for a minute. KJ, a couple of questions before you depart.

First, you mentioned a possible book deal. Is it possible Shackleford and/or your buddy Norm saw this coming and didn't want you hogging any of the attention pie on WoV or in general? Conversely, is it possible news of a book deal is why Shackleford would try to get you back there via back channels, as presumably it might help the site?

Second, your posting leaves the impression you are in some way reliant on WoV. I'm not going to ask why you're reliant, but it does seem odd. Operating in isolation would seem to be the default mode for people who actually win. Your writing does give the impression you were thrown out of a frat. Why gnash your teeth?

Frankly, with what I do, there's a correlation. The more people network, the less likely they are to win -- for a variety of reasons.

 

So, let me try to understand this.... a whole bunch of hypocrites get banned from wov, start a 'woe is me I hate wov' board for themselves on a totally different forum site, or maybe created this site, IDK, THEN a whole bunch of hypocrites still on wov stagger over to this site, saturate 'woe is me' with bullshit, that no one here asked for, except maybe KJ, and even good cop bad cop wov mod hypocrites.
