Imagine all those years putting it all together, the effort and not even a ex-Gracia payment if I remember correctly. That's the act of a supreme "tight-fisted" dictator for ya. If I recall bluejey left before the sale, but you would think maybe, just maybe, or perhaps the shack just wanted a total recoup on previous losses with as much interest as poss' One crafty manipulative character he must be, I can only assume certain people must feel seriously indebited.

 

I suspect the last thing people would want is 4 other mods acting like BBB.

Any gambling board that has reams and ream of rules doesn't work in this day and age. It is a gambling site for fucks sakes, not a nursing forum.

 

Understandable, but it is my opinion that that interpretation isn't, or at least, wasn't, it's intended use.

I've been there longer than the rules have. When I started, there were 5 max, and all were very basic. Don't post entire pages from other sources, don't spam, credit your source. That's all we had because that's all it needed. Many deride the site as being "packed with old nerds", but older, educated persons were most of its membership (or so it seemed to be, some 6-7 years ago). The ONLY drama I ever remember was between some mkl cat and one of Singer's many aliases.

It was those two, specifically, who caused the larger rule list to exist. That's when things expanded into no insults and the 14 others we have now. The insult rule in question was not intended to give free reign to insult former members, rather it was just Wiz being his literal self. Members are protected while others are not, so we could still rip on politicians, athletes, asshole Wall Street cats, etc. You dig? It was never "OK, Singer's out, feel free to call him names", or any other person.

Through the years certain members took advantage of that. You see how diligent and anal people get about rules. Two guys beef, one crossed the line (or more likely, gets baited into crossing the line) and his opponent gets to neener neener him from relative safety. That was not a Wiz thing, his intention, nor anyone's intention. It's just how the membership took the rules.

And yeah, since that's what the rule states, it is sort of allowed, assuming it of course follows the other rules. No one can come in and call an ex-member an asshole, for instance, cuz it violates the no profanity rule.

That's my interpretation of things, anyway, having watched it morph over my last 7 years. It's why I nixed the thread against LarryS. Though technically it violates no rule, it's just in poor taste, and well below the threshold of conduct that I came to appreciate from that place in its past.

 

BBB would be the last one who i would pick to be the over-seeing mod

there has to be one with has common sense, no political agenda. and is even keeled . If one isnt available now...then fucking get one.

 

Yes, Michael Bluejay was a mod...a decent one too. I don't think he believed in the hall of shame and all the other nonsense. Manboy gave him the ax for "lack of participation".

This was back in Sept 2012 and it just happened to coincide with Mission becoming a mod after being a secret one since July 2012...a scant 2 months after he joined the board. Serious ass kissing there.

Funny thing is he has now curtailed his participation somewhat...not even logging on for days at a time.

Strange people over there.

 

so if there is a rule that has its "intent" not followed...the wiz has the ability to clarify it. He doesnt have to go through the congress and the senate and then bring it up fora vote from the people.....he just does what he did recently with the rule about quoting nuked people....he rewrote it and clarified and it became law.

Meanwhile even BBB used the rule to tell me or others here..that we are just losers that are masturbating in moms basement. That is clearly within the rules even for mods. And it didnt spark the wizard to say to himself "this is not my intention..i better clarify".

 

During the tincup waving time, Michaelblujay posted that he at one point was in charge of getting advertisers and he had the site pulling in 6 figures. After he left...it seems the business end of the site and profitability went south.

 

Yep, strange for putting up with this amount of flack, either somebody has a collection of compromising pictures of moms or there is some swallowing going on while waiting for some poor dude tries to get through boxes of chicken McNuggets, it is primarily a BJ site after all.

That is only an insult if you feel your thoughts, class and intellect are substandard. I can only pray that more people like you from WoV defend and support them over here.
