Does this all really need to be hashed out again? Yes, that PM is absolutely an "F U" to Mike. It shows you either didn't care about returning to WoV / didn't plan on returning, or you were just trying to play Mike all along (ie: You had those feelings but still wanted to return). Yes, we all know you didn't threaten Mike physically or literally said "F U" to him. So you're technically right in that aspect, I guess. I think most reasonable people would read your PM as a threat (although non-violent) and as an "F U". If you want to skirt around the technicality, go ahead -- but it doesn't change what was said nor the intent. (And please, spare us the drama-queen bullshit about knowing of someone's intent...that goes to you too, Larry.)

Aren't you doing the same thing to Mike as Norm set out to do to you?

 

We are going to have to agree to disagree. I didn't mean it as an "F U" to Mike. I simply wanted him to know there would be consequences from me as well....just as he said there would be from Norm. I wanted him to know that I was not going to just go way.

As for "not caring or not planning on returning": That is just ludicrous. All I have gone through has been with the single purpose of returning. I will admit that as I wrote that PM, I was losing faith that it was possible, growing more and more frustrated. It had been 3 months and nothing was being done. It was bad luck on my part that just as I got a little frustrated and attempted to turn up the heat, Mike happened for the very first time, to seem to come around a little. Just my bad luck that these two things occurred 13 minutes apart.

And now I am going to say something that may have you questioning MY sanity. I still don't believe, as everyone else seems to, that it is impossible for me to return. As a matter of fact, when Mike recommended that I join this site, he specifically said there was a whole site here that attacked him and he didn't care. It doesn't bother him. And so I have....just as he wanted. We are all big boys (that's what she said....Michael Scott quote) and can take a little criticism. I honestly don't see where anything has been done that can't be undone. It would just take a little pride swallowing from both sides. And since Mike made the initial move (mistake) of banning me, from which everything else occurred, he would have to make the initial move. But if that were to happen, I am very capable of forgiving, forgetting, moving forward and not holding a grudge. (and I am more than capable of handling the attacks from LarryS for doing so)

It was indeed a "fuck you" letter. And was a big time threat.

Not all "threats" have to be physical...so hiding behind the lack of "physical intent" is weak. Very weak....since any person over the age of 12 knows that threats can take on all kinds of shapes.
And although the words "fuck you" were not uttered...geez....does everythig have to be literal , in order to tap dance around it? Of course its a "fuck you" letter. Of course anyone reading it would feel threatened. Larry for once, I believe we all agree. That is all I have been trying to say to KJ. Sucks that he was driven to that point, but he did and there is no going back.

 

KJ's letter was a sayonara, but it wasn't that bad. It was to the point and laid out consequences. I think it was appropriate to lay out consequences for Shackleford. Now Shackleford can't say KJ ambushed or blindsided him when KJ publicly takes Shackleford to the whipping post.

People have PR wars all the time. KJ's response was pretty mild.

I'm with Mickey on this one. People seem surprised KJ was this aggressive and harsh. He was actually being counter-aggressive. I think he was spot on, except I wouldn't have given Shackleford any heads-up if I were publicly going after him. As Nike says, I'd just do it.

 

Then it took a couple of weeks to go from the innocent "reading something he didnt care for".........to the actual FUCK YOU pm...... it was really with-holding some vital information for those that were defending you.

THAT is where people like AXEL AND RS and myself feel manipulated. ....feel like you intentionally with-held info to garner the maximum sympathy.

you were very forthcoming using exact quotes to extract maximum sympathy to your plight....but you intentionally made the contents of the "fuck you" PM..... VERY VERY VAGUE. Obviously intentional based on all the other precise info you were releasing.

but the identified contents of your final communication to the wiz was not at all precise...it was intentionally vague. And while everyone was clamoring around you saying how irrational the wiz was behaving, you had the true contents of your last PM in your back pocket. And you know, to his credit, the wiz didnt post that last PM to defend himself. If he did , no one would have blamed him considering the massive support you received here. And the massive support you were receiving on WOV. He protected the private communication even though he could have ended so much of the buzz .

If he is a man of his word....then I hold him to his words. If he isnt a man of his word.....then I guess I have no basis to comment.
Even if he didnt have time to comment, there is a way to take 15 seconds to post " I will be away unexpectedly for 3 weeks...see you then".

So all I can do is suspect that he was pressured to desist ...because the last day he posted everything was left in good standing...a very orderly back and forth. Its not like he was offended and stormed off. He was in the middle of a cogent back and forth. Types of questions were answered that would never be allowed on wov.

I posted his own words that has no indication that weeks would go by before he responded to the info he asked to be retrieved for himm to comment on.

So yes that is my assumption. Either he is not a man of his word. Or he isnt a manof his word that was influenced by pressure by others.

Fair play would dictate at least a 15 second heads up.....to be continued in a few weeks.

Absent that....all that is left is assumptions.

But behavior contrary to his stated comments of him missing a day or 2 in lag time in response to comments here makes "assumptions" all that we have.
