Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

Chan and Zuga should man up and invite all banned members back or, at the very least, review them on a case by case basis. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The suspension list contains the "cream of the crop" posters... all banned due to manboy's ego. If they had the guts to do that, daily visits would skyrocket even though some would never return as long as egomaniac Shackleford is still involved. They must be sorry they didn't make a clean break from him.

 

I asked Zuga to make an objective review of my situation. Unfortunately he chose not to do that. His response was that he would discuss it with Mike and get back to me. Mike is one of the parties involved so discussing it with him, automatically takes it out of scope of objectivity.

Similarly Mike at first was going to recommend to Zuga that I return, saying that I was one of the most respected and valuable members of the site and then in a space of a few minutes, upon reading something from me that he didn't like, did a complete 180 degree turn and vowed to recommend to Zuga that I not be re-instated.

Now I didn't ask him to do either recommend for or against. I asked for an independent review by an objective third party. Mike and Zuga both seemed to not understand the concept of "objective independent review".

A bit of a side note, but how did reading that statement from me that Mike didn't like, change the facts of what he was originally going to say....that I was a highly respected and valuable member of the site. Does that statement change the facts of 4 years?

 

If someone said something to me that I didn't like.....and that "something" was a threat to me.....A verbal threat about how he was going to verbally hurt my reputation any chance he got.......I would find a way to fuck that guy in the ass. And if the guy actually liked assfuck....I would figure something else out.

LOL. So you really think they care if Mike ran off a bunch of posters at WOV? I highly doubt they careven about the posters at WOV. Agian the people who post the most rail against online gambling. They didn't and don't care about WOV. The odds site is what they wanted. They want people who play online casinos PERIOD. I bet they all joke about it and find all of this amusing at best.

 

I would make two points to suggest you are wrong.

1.) if they didn't care about WoV portion, then why include that as part of the sale? I am sure they could have made a deal with WoV not being part of the sale and allowed Mike to keep that. They didn't want diversity Tomorrow so that wasn't part of the sale.

2.) earlier this year they purchased BJ21.com from Stanford Wong. BJ21 is a message board only site. There is no other more valuable part of the site that they wanted. They apparently wanted the message board site and in that case one populated only by brick and mortar type AP's.

I mean I am not going to pretend to understand what they are thinking and/if it is working out as they planned. Maybe you shouldn't either.

 

Maybe they will buy this site (reportedly up for sale by at least one whois report), they could make their current batch of mods, mods here and BBB can have a whale of a time matching IP's between here and there. Certainly a feasible way to close down the dissent against their own site in one fell swoop, who knows, maybe it's the grand plan cos' this site was dead in the water for many years, until it became a platform for disenfranchised ex WoV members.

 

I think I see their interest in WoV.

It is NOT the regular posters; it is the (surprisingly!) large number of lurkers, guys who read the board but don't contribue, and who may just click on the banner ad.

The board has a lot of traffic.

We who post at WoV are just shit; the new owners want the flies that buzz around the shit.

 

MrV: I just think it is strange (and I'll stick with a little creepy) for a member to be looking up divorce and other personal information on another member. Yeah, I know how the internet works and that kind of stuff is public information. But in a gambling community, why do I care about details of someone's divorce? I mean if they choose to publicly post about it and it is someone I like, I might express my sadness that they are going through that. I did that with one of the mods. But to go looking up information (just because you can) seems odd to me.

Aaron deliberately injected himself, full force, into the WoV drama: he's yet another of a long, undistinguished line of WoV attention whores, and hey, whores by definition need to be fucked.

Really, I'm just paying attention to him, which is what he wanted.

He went from "Fuck you guys, you can't tell me anything" to "Oh, shit, my life imploded," and we all looked on as the conflagration ensued.

Problem is that same logic doesn't work with the other message board site that LCB recently purchased, BJ21. Because it is a paid membership, BJ21 has no lurkers. It is a membership of only AP's and brick and mortar AP's at that, who are not likely to be clicking on any banners, with no lurkers.

 

It's 2016. Is there anyone who hasn't looked someone up online? I just did it today and may well do it tomorrow. I don't do it for a living but I do it and don't mind admitting it. It's all there for the taking.

And are you implying this is okay fine for a admin to do this? ahigh did put recently on his fb that he left gaming in june 2016. Which everyone knows is a lie. The real facts are 1. bbb is a personal friend of ahigh and uses her admin authority to protect her friends. 2. ANYONE else not a friend who posted with 80% less of the smart assed attacks ahigh started doing at people would have been vaporized in seconds.

As for BBB protecting Aaron: didn't the Wiz say that members such as Aaron who VOLUNTARILY remove themselves from active membership are still to be treated the same as members in good standing?
