Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

I already won 5k this weekend from a blow hard that claims to be 50-70 k a day on baseball, he travels around, knows poker room managers, while at the same time telling me that I am lying when I say I am in reno weekly......so he called me on it......offered 5K THAT i wouldnt be at the peppermill to meet him on saturday at 7 pm......I took the bet....and he hasnt appeared anywhere since....even here.

So people will say what they want to say. They say how happy they are compared to the average joe.....they will tellyou anything they want to tell you about the money they make......some will even pad it so they add in the value of the cruises that the casinos get at a big discount....or the 500 dollar meals that cost the casino 50 dollars

The dude that claimed to bet 50k a day, I asked for him to post a few old tickets...even losing tickets to prove he is actually betting this or if its monopoly money. Proof never given.

And without proof its just fucking talk

If proof was ever offered in a tax return...you would be told that or led to believe that you shouldnt expect a full accounting to the IRS....so the amount list would be less than the actual amount earned..

 

I'm not an AP so it's not pertinent what I make. It was a legitimate question though and I think it would attract some interest. Maybe the APs could field some questions?

What do you say, guys. I would never ask for secrets or sensitive information. You want us to believe...don't say you don't. So convince us.

These pissing contests always end at the point where someone wants proof. How ridiculous. It's a freaking anonymous message board. I am not offering up proof of anything (personal information) unless there is a 5 figure wager involved....then I might....only if a trusted third party was holding the money upfront.

I personally don't need "proof" of anything to know who knows what they are talking about and who is just talking. I don't need to see pictures of jackpots, or anything else. And I won't and offer up anything of that sort. If I say something, people can choose to believe me or not. That is their prerogative and it really isn't going to effect me.

Why go this route? It only adds fuel to the flame. Money isn't everything.

Plus people have different needs. When I started out, I had a 10 year/million dollar plan. Well that didn't happen. And it was unrealistic for that to happen. But in reality, I left a crap job, paying about 17k a year to pursue a career as a blackjack AP....one of those kind of jobs that most people aren't very happy. And while I had this 10 year/million dollar plan, in reality, I would have been very happy to make (average) 50k per year (long term). I would have even been content to make 35-40k per year.

But I know other blackjack AP's that left high paying jobs in the financial world. They had/have families and big houses and even the 'close to 100k' that I have averaged over the last 5 years, wouldn't come close to cutting it for them.

You're right and I mentioned hijacking just yesterday. If anyone had shown interest in AP I would have started a thread under Miscellaneous Gambling Forum. Apparently the boys aren't interested although they have plenty to say in this thread.

While I agree with KewlJ that money isn't everything, isn't it the way APs measure success? There are a couple of pros who aren't bashful about posting photos of slot wins and telling us of other wins. To each his own. If anyone wants to start an AP thread..go ahead. Maybe a poll would be better?
