I still dont see how pictures of the house and family directly correlate to why the wiz of vegas forum is dying.
Its like a TMZ feature inserted into a documentary on fly fishing. I dont see the connection.

For people that admire him, and want to sniff his jock.....yeah, this stuff is interesting.

Now if he were living in a cardboard box on the side of the road at that time, it might speak to his success at whatever he was doing...including gambling. But its a nice home, nice kids, nice wife at least visually. Everyone looks happy.

This picture album would be more suited for the thread titled " I love the life of Mike Shackleford"...and you can post all the nice pictures, and talk about his 2 million dollar sale.

And here we can talk about his behavior and how it ties into the title of the thread.

Scratching my head as to why he uploaded these photo's to a mathproblem web-site? "Here are some other family photos:" he says. Were they to be shared only with other math-geeks perhaps?

Wonder if he shares the house with the in-laws, might explain those trips to Central and South American. Anyway, let's not worry 'bout it, life is just a game after-all and we're all dying eventually.

 

Posting those photos was just another "look at me I'm great" moment by a vain, egotistical, disturbed narcissist. He made sure everyone saw his house. (My house is better than yours). And he made sure the kids all prominently displayed their swanky private school attire...to the tune of $25K a year. (My kids are smarter than yours).

It shows just what kind of person he is. In that respect it is pertinent to WOV is dying. Look who runs it. I wonder if he ran it by his wife before he posted her full Chinese name, her "American" name, place and date of birth. Same for the kids...full names and dates of birth. What could go wrong there? I feel bad for them...the innocent.

I'm sure one of his unpaid watchdogs has tipped him off and he is working to delete them. It may not be as easy as it is on WOV. I hope for the kids' sake he does something. Take the "models" home and take care of family.

The pics are sweet. Is he showing off things and people he is proud of??? I guess. And posting pics in the context of the new technology of 14 years ago.....I cant comment.
There are plenty of successful businesses that are run by people who are proud of their kids , wife. and home...and posted harmless pics 14 years ago.
There are reasons that wov is dying. ....and his posting of sweet pics of his wife , kids, and home isnt one of them.

In fact I could argue that today he isnt the person he was back then.

Because today he talks about his wife and kids as balls and chains. There is no indication of that attitude in the pics 14 years ago.....but today...that "sweetness" is not there. Look at his valentines day post a few years ago, when he moaned that he hates when valentines day comes out on a weekend, because then he has to find a way to keep both his wife and kids happy. You know..thats what fathers do......but he actually complained. If he was the man portrayed in those pics...wov would be in better hands....it wouldnt be stained with sexual content, his wife wouldnt be dis-respected...he wouldnt be leering over JJ or talking about liasons in massage parlours or over seas.

 

In hindsight I should have blanked out his child in the first picture on the previous page. However it was taken 14 yrs ago, so safe to assume they no longer look like that. Other than that, there are no pictures of his wife here. Manboy himself posted his wife's name, pictures of her parents, his entire family plus other details. They weren't exactly on a web-site that needed to be hacked, Google threw up the link from an image, not exactly requiring the skills of 'anonymous'.

Maybe he either forgot about or simply didn't care, life is just a game after-all, that is his mantra isn't it? Besides I'm guessing they were hosted for a reason, so people could see them. Who the audience was, I've no idea, mathproblems.info isn't a private site, derelict maybe!

Anybody choosing to take a peek at the links it's entirely up to them (obviously Larry did), they are pretty dated, the kids a lot older and look nothing like in the photographs you can safely assume, which also applies to all of those people featured, some ageing faster than others obviously. This thread has taken many tangents, including disdain for anything manboy related ("he is dead to me")

 

Posting the word "fuck you" or posting a link to a site that has the words Fuck you///....no different...it relays the same message.

Posting a picture of you masturbating, or posting a link to a site that has a collage of pictures of your masturbating to click on......really..whats the difference.

Its not intellectually honest to post a link that brings you directly to a photo album.....and then saying oh no..I dint post any pictures of the photo album

Maybe he had friends that were interested. Maybe he just wanted a site that would house the pics so that he can direct friends and family to it to view..instead of individually sending pictures to individuals. Seems like an innocuous action.

And they did, yes everything was hunky-dory in the manboy abode, proud father, happy family, smiles all around, nobody is saying otherwise. He thought he had it made, new location, nice house, happy family, pussy on tap. Little did he know that he would be banging his tin-cup, have to resort to socialising with prostitutes, then being made a millionaire, life can be one roller-coaster.

Who knows it's speculation, why didn't he secure his web-site IF that was the case. Google found them easily enough.

If I posted pictures of Obama's, Trumps or Clinton's children from 14 yrs ago, is anybody really going to be bothered? Nope because today they are all grown up. We already know what manboy looks like and he does seem to consider forums members as some sort of cyber-relationship, confessing and opening up about personal issues. So maybe he was sharing those photos with his math-geek friends?

Maybe we'll find out soon, when we see if they remain or not, I'm betting they will, cos' really I doubt he is arsed about 14 yr old photos. I wanted to see manboy in monte-carlo, but that has been removed. Those photo's pre-date facebook, imagine had he developed the concept further at the time, he could have been worth billions and been the millenniums Zuckerberg.

These "value estimates" are based on visitor counts without any evaluation of content. I understand that is how the commerce game is usually played, but not everyone subscribes to that. People can and do assign values to the content. Pulitzer prizes don't go to the folks with the highest visitation ranks.

 

I think 'traffic stats' are paramount when it comes to blow-back from casino affiliations, which is what all of LCB's site purchases are about. I'm guessing the higher the number of hits the greater the percentage LCB can negotiate.

 

I don't necessarily buy that, as what counts are actual casino sign-ups and interactions, not visitor counts. The higher the quality of the articles, the more likely it attracts a higher per-visit casino interaction.

I haven't read much of Shackleford's stuff, but from what I understand the articles are somewhat unique, somewhat far-ranging, and all in one place.

What nobody here has discussed is whether Shackleford signs off on his ownership of those articles. He retains rights to them unless somebody buys them, so the owner of the site may have paid to have ownership of those articles and to contract x number more.

I'm always amazed how youngsters these days just assume internet publications somehow have no owners, or are just owned by everybody. Nope.

That's not the case, and traffic figures don't address any of these angles.

 

It seems safe to say that when they bought the sites, they also came close to buying the Wiz.

No doubt the contract requires that he participate meaningfully for X amount of years, or else he's in breach of contract.

The sites' identities and the Wiz are inextricably intertwined.
