What game isn't like that, Axel?

There's very few games that can be played straight up, and even the games you boast about, all require player involvement to become a play, do they not?

    Sheesh.

I'm retired and do whatever I want whenever I want. When I go on my computer, I scan several gambling forums since I still enjoy gambling. So, your comment to bunch together all readers of forums is a weak, baseless, pure personal opinion. Just like this post of mine is just my personal opinion.

It appears that AP’s really believe they are a special kind of people since they figured out ways to hustle casinos. Based on what I’m reading it also appears to be a lot of work. Constantly looking for new plays and working on the math, watching meters with people working different shifts around the clock, playing games that get you food comps, finding people you could trust and work your plays, walking on egg shells not to be noticed in casinos avoiding being 86’ed, tracking all casinos for promos, flying all over the place, and this is just to name a few things involved with AP’ing.

I’m sure many do very well, and many not so good. But casino gambling is not even close to being just about AP’ing and winning.

Many people make good enough money and can afford to look at it as nothing more than the cost of their chosen entertainment. Many people might go once or twice a month or every other month with 2 or 3 other couples and have the time of their lives. Being treated like royalty, 5-star dining, spa treatments, front row top shelve shows, boxing matches, suites with workers close by taking care of your every need. That’s a lot of fn fun.

What some of these people lose in one weekend might be what an AP would hope to make in a month. I’m not talking about whales, but people that make good money with their chosen careers and could afford this type of fun. Of course, even these gamblers read and try different tactics to win while they’re gambling, but it’s not about making a living or any worries if they lose. It’s money they have and are willing to piss away for the sake of the thrill and the fun that comes with it.

Bending cards yelling monkey for a strike in Baccarat is fun. Yelling plays and tossing chips at the craps table is fun. The excitement of splitting aces with big bets at the BJ tables is fun. Playing birthdays and special numbers at the roulette wheel is fun. Doing all of this while drinking with your wife by your side squeezing her ass every once in a while for luck, is fun. Then follow up with dinner, and a show is fun. Oh yea, and sometimes these people win big, even if it is an accident.

Speaking for myself, I for one couldn’t even imagine or relate to being in a casino stalking machines for a play. Just the idea of playing BJ counting and making sure I don’t look obvious or win to much at one time running the risk of getting tossed, all while wearing a fake mustache and beard with a hat covering my glass shaded eyes turns my stomach.

Listening to what you AP’s are arguing about, and what most of you guys are going through to make a living, compounded with zero, nadda, 100% nothing other than a bunch of self-typed words for proof, is rather entertaining. Especially, to people who made and still make good enough livings that would compare your lifestyle to being homeless, or playing the lottery. I’m certain there are a few of you making big bucks AP’ing, but several people every week across this country also become millionaires playing just one dollar on the lottery.

I'm sure there was a point to blackhole's post. Not sure what it was. He felt it necessary to speculate and make a kind of sideways statement about what he considers "fun" and how much APs should be making so it's worthwhile, or some mishmash. So what was the point? How "not being an AP" is better than "being an AP?" What did blackhole just post that doesn't go without saying?

And school teachers work hard and put in long hours and aren't appreciated. And the military is dramatically underpaid, even though they do get to kill people on occasion. And nurse's aides are generally underpaid and work hard. Pastors, priests, all doing questionable stuff for questionable kinds and amounts of remuneration. How about magicians? McDonalds' workers? All choices; all "irrational" if you choose to view them that way, from a perspective that has decided that the way "you" do things is the way to live.

Blackhole finds APing pathetic in some sense. So why come on a gambling site and state it for no good reason?

From my perspective, most of the things blackhole lists as "fun" are pathetic. Playing roulette for fun? You know the odds; reality happens. There's no excitement in that. No fun. Yelling at a craps table? Squeezing your wife's ass for luck? All silly, juvenile, pointless wastes of time. Ways to be a fifth grader (at best) for awhile.

I would not, however, have stated that anywhere, especially on a gambling forum, because why should I? But blackhole feels it necessary to judge and make some obvious statement. Blackhole, for the record, not everyone aspires to be juvenile and dumb as a rock while in a casino.

I can’t even respond to your stupidity. Only a self-proclaimed AP like redietz could take a post completely out of context and create 5 paragraphs of drool.

Do everyone a favor and wipe the drivel off your face and take a hike.

Here is a post in response to redietz from another forum. Obviously others see him and his posts in the same light as me.

"Red, you really don't have what it takes when it comes to trying to make light-hearted conversation on issues like these. Your replies are nearly always so corny and from some lost land inside your tortured mind. And I do expect more of the same as a response to this."

its amazing that it has come to APs here accusing other APs that they arent 'REAL" APs.
Heck..I am told they are a profession...just show each other your license

Aps are no different than the people who walk the beaches with a metal detector. Some people do well, and some people collect scraps. But none of them provider a service that helps others through their job.
Whether you are pushing a button on a slot machine..o0r pushing a button on a metal detector on the beach....it provides zero value to society.
Its a selfish, self absorbed activity.
And now these self absorbed folks are debating who is the real self absorbed people and who are just pretenders/
    Go ahead..have at it.

The metal detector guys are having the same debate amongst each other as well.

LarryS., AP's who play slots do in fact provide value to society.

They lead to employment for slot techs, cashiers, slot designers and mfrs. etc.

True, they create nothing, and other than provide work for others their activities are wholly self-absorbed.

But I don't think they should be marched up against the wall and shot, nor sterilized.

nor should they be repeatedly fucked in the ass by an army of aids infested nigerians

so whats your point. I didnt say they should be "shot" sterilized. stoned.

Yes people on welfare are productive to society because they give employment to a whole building of workers who sign them up, re-sign them up, re-re-sign them up.
And child abusers create jobs for child welfare workers, prison guards, ankle bracelet manufacturer workers.

without APs there would still be a need for slot techs, slot designer, slot manufacturers. A vast majority of patrons of slot machines are joe blow...not self proclaimed APs.

But without criminals we wouldnt need ankle bracelet manufacturers, the assemblers, the accountants, the truck drivers that deliver the materials and final product.....So using your logic...criminals are more value to society than APs.
Without criminals we wouldnt need the prison syustem including food providers, truck drivers that deliver the food, guards, uniform companies....and all the executives, accountants, and custodians.....needed to support thse businesses.

That's not true about detecting. It's a hobby of mine and just one of my detectors cost 1,200 dollars.
I've returned 10 times that amount in jewelry that I can find the owner to. Including some old lady's false uppers. It took me a minute to understand what the hell she was mumbling about. Not counting all the paid and volunteer forensic work done for law enforcement. Bad example. And most of us clean up the scraps. Do ap's clean out their ashtrays after working a game?

    Otherwise, carry on.

Dude, on the detector comments, I'm sorry man, you're full of shit. You don't know what you're talking about there. Find another example that makes sense. I have no judgements about ap's because I don't know what they really are so I'm not about to look more ignorant than I already do. And no, detectorist's have no trouble justifying their hobby or supporting worthy causes.

everyone can support worthy causes. Even criminals from their prison cell.

its just that metal detector "professionals" in doing their "job" are as valuable to society as AP "professionals"

if either of those groups fell off the face of the earth....society would not suffer...society would not notice.

Obviously, my point got scrambled then lost from the faulty wiring between your ears. This problem obviously left you unable to comprehend and reason which then triggered your knee jerking reaction to respond and post all that drool.

To help clarify my point, (not that anyone cares) I’ll go on to say that the self-proclaimed AP’s on assorted web sites appear to post on forums simply to pat themselves on their own backs craving for recognition of their genius.

Occasionally, some of these self-proclaimed AP’s like Micky C. demonstrates a slot play. Yet, all you have to do is google “casino slot machine advantage play” and you could pull up dozens of plays. I could only guess these plays made available all over the place to include popular gambling magazines like Casino Player are either now dead or still exist and are promoted by casinos to draw more suckers to the casinos. Remember, these machines are not paying out anymore then they are programmed to.

Why did most of the self-proclaimed AP pros sooner or later write articles for gambling magazines, printing endless books about it and how to do it exposing plays? You can’t possibly believe they do this to educate additional competition, along with tipping off casino management. My conclusion is they have to be convinced that publishing about it is more profitable than doing it, with the hope of being hired by casino management for their talents helping with prevention.

Taking advantage of promotions gaining tier points, winning a TV, cash backs, free play, etc., of course makes sense. But most of these promotions are limited to the number of tables or machines and sometimes have lines of AP’s fighting for a piece of the action. These promotions are now carefully monitored (in most cases) and could come to a quick end. (Revel A.C.)

The main point of my previous post was that most people going to casinos are looking for a good time with the hopes of being lucky. The fact that AP’s made a job out of it, doesn’t mean the people that could afford to gamble and lose (most of the time) prefer to approach it for the lure the casinos intended.

For many people the amount of different entertainment all found in one place at your fingertips is worth every penny of their losses. That, simply because they can and would never want or need to turn their place for entertainment into a fn job.

Please, God, or Mr. Trump, or whomever, protect us from those who "know" what is real value to society and who provides it.

The sheer arrogance of presupposing one can define, and knows, and can identify, those who do or do not provide value to society, and what is or isn't such value, is unbelievable. Off the charts arrogant and narcissistic. Megalomania, really.

I couldn't find guidelines to "value to society" in the Ten Commandments. Not aware of it being in the constitution, either.

Perhaps God has directly imbued some folks with the wisdom. We should thank them all.

And I repeat, to many people, your antics in a casino are juvenile, a waste of time, and the furthest thing from fun. So why come on a gambling forum and explain how your way of doing things is right? You need justification for losing? Okay, let's call it "entertainment."

Blackhole, are you really going to quote Rob Singer? Really, man?

I am honored to have been described as having a "tortured mind" by Mr. Singer, much as I love him.

I always specify like these quotes from my last two posts, quote “Just like this post of mine is just my personal opinion” “(not that anyone cares)”

I never insinuated not once what I do is the right way of doing things. Obviously, you can’t afford to lose or afford that type of entertainment.

Just the fact that you can’t relate to what me and millions of other people consider what having fun is all about in casinos and view our antics in a casino as juvenile, a waste of time, and the furthest thing from fun, confirms you are a pompous envious fool.

Besides, why are you wasting time on forums? Shouldn’t you be busy trying to confirm if some college football quarterback still has the flu?
