I dont know if i explained it right.
He said that the people over there on his site ,wov.......could be viewed as cowards if they hurled insults or critiqued us over here.. because the people that are getting insulted cannot go back there and respond.

To me that is sound commentary. EVERYONE over there can sign up here and face the music of having a return comment made. They do not need to hide under the skirt of mommy.

 

Speaking of "skirt:" we've had Mission and Face, two WoV mods, post here; do you think any others will care to chime in over here?

I for one would welcome a visit by the Wiz or BBB.

Zuga / Chan might benefit from the old "customer service" argument, should they drop by.

What I get so far from the mods is that everyone is a "rogue" mod in the sense that there are rules and each decides how and if they are going to enforce the rules. Right there its a customers service disaster.

Face says there are at least a half dozen sock puppets that he looks the other way from. The BBB claims she spent 30 days researching to get the goods on a sockpuppet so she could nuke. Mission claims to many times having deleted posts of MC to keep him from enforcing the rules.The beached one has a hair trigger for people she disagrees with.. The manboy wiz goes on suspension sprees when he is in a bad mood. But Face tends to suspend as a last resort. Mission claims he doesnt agree with certain rules, but according to him ...he is a cop....not a legislator.

All the above leads to uneven punishment. a CORNERSTONE topic for this thread.
If anything the mods that came over explained how the climate of uneven punishment exists...they dont feel its a disastrous climate for a business or even come close to thinking there must be a way to reverse this climate. Its just the way it has to be. We customers just have to deal with several different philosophies/paths of action, on how we should expect to be treated...all depending on who is on duty, and if someone is in a "bad mood".

Some fall back on the theory"i am going to treat customers like I want to be treated".....except the thing is that everyone has their own vision of how they want to be treated. Again translating to uneven punishment....depending on who is on duty at the time.

You really think she is going to admit that her horrid heavy handed treatment of people on wov can be linked to her horrid treatment by others in life based on the results of poor choices she has made. You know the choice to put down the second cannister of costco famous amos cookies.

Really, she is one of the more militant mods over there. I wouldnt expect honesty like I have seen from Face and Mission. Honesty from them that actually confirms what this thread has been saying.

The wiz can come here...but he is so socially backward, and he relies on his banning power that isnt active here. I am not sure if he would thrive here....or even make a dent in opinions.

notice that the 2 people that came here were the 2 that had the least baggage to be thrown in their face. You know..they had the clearest conscience .... but the ones with the real issues, know they would get buried here in facts that they cannot likely squirm out of.

Why did she join WOV in the first place? Two reasons come to mind.

1) To hawk a game that she allegedly invented...a game that has failed so miserably that she couldn't scrape together airfare to Vegas to show it at the last convention. Purely selfish reasons and she adds nothing to discussions.


2) To interact and flirt with young 20 something guys. Seems she fancies herself as some kind of cougar and is looking for "cubs". Disgusting.

That site is full of delusional, failed game inventors who think they're the best thing since sliced bread.

There are some who have made it...3 or 4 maybe. But the rest....they are the weakest link!

 

One thing I can say about all the mods.
No matter what they say their philosophy is, and how they say that they have utmost respect for the customers when they come here.. blah blah blah,,,,,But they all stand aside and watch while others are mistreated.

Now if you are working with people who mis-treat customers and you need the paycheck to put food on the table....thats one thing to stand aside and let others do what they do.

But working for free? Nothing would keep me in that climate. Either I would speak up and demand change..or I would be gone.

In fact my last posts were as an advocate of customers.

Being an advocate of good customer service is not in the culture that prevails at wov. And the people in charge that stay,, are part of the problem if they are not actively trying to promote a solution.

RonC recently brought up customer service issues, and within 24 hours the thread was closed............by a MOD

After beached whale warned qfit to stop his whining/trolling, he kept going for 30 more posts...ignoring her. DonT you thinK alot of other punished customers would love that hands off treatment. Or when mission would delete posts of MC in order to avoid suspending him.....dont you think other punished customers would have liked that special treatment. Or as Face looks the other way from punishing some folks with duplicate screen names....there are others that were punished for having duplicate screen names that would love the Face TREATMENT.

the board is filled with uneven-ness , special treatments, and unfair, disrespectful customer service.

And that is perpetrated by mods that either actively act it out, or just stand by and watch.

 

How about the time Buzzard was caught red handed posting under yet another different name? That's right. Husband of the year caught him and sprang into action.

He said he would leave the illegal, rule breaking post up for 24 hours so everyone could have a chance to read it. And we thought there was no customer service. Silly us. A real slap in the face to Zuga who was the one who banned the old guy.

BBB tells QFIT to stop. he persists basically telling her to go fuck herself, and the manboy wiz doesnt intervene either publicly or privately with QFIT. He lets her look like a powerless oaf.
And she takes it. Has no self respect. She continues to work for free while her boss ignores her mistreatment for 30 posts.

And the other mods see this and stand by.
They are next.
Just Like KJ stood on the sidelines without a peep while his neighbors were mistreated......until it came around to him.
Its likely the same will occur with the mods. Eventually they will be publicly humiliated by their manboy bosse's action or inaction.

 

WoV seemed a much better place until the BeachedFuckingWhale showed up.

On a side note . . . no way she has a family. No man on earth would ever fuck her.

Meh. I've been out of high school for 20 years now, and I never understood the clique game even then. Took my fair share of beatings, too, for hanging out with an outcast or not towing the clique line.

I didn't play it then, I won't play it now. If someone has a problem with who I associate with, I fail to see how that problem is mine. /shrug

After my last convo with JK, you made it a big deal to point out that Aha!, here it is from his own mouth that things are uneven at WoV. But do you realize I have said that all along? In several different places, including here, and including right to you. Yes, moderation, administration, management, it's all uneven. What I'm curious about is why that surprises you? Perhaps your years up on the big counter have given you a different perspective of things. I dunno who a pharm's boss is, but I imagine it's probably one person who is likely more trained / experienced than the pharm they oversee. And perhaps you went right from med school bang into slingin' pills and that's all you know. But us uneducated drones, us laborers, us grunts, we often have myriad bosses. I happen to have 4 right now. Yes, FOUR. And I'm not talking up the chain, I'm talking right on the floor in my very office. I work for USPS, which, as you can imagine, is micromanaged right to hell and back. Procedures for damn near everything save taking a piss, all explained right down to the letter to "ensure uniform service". I apologize for talking to you like an idiot right now, but you don't really think all four of them, or any two of them, even, manage even slightly similar to each other, do you?

They don't. They all have different experiences, different personalities, different interpretations of the P&P's laid out before them. And just like any ol where, I know just who to go to if I need to admit a mistake, who to go to if I need a favor, who I need to go to if I need information. Three different things, three different people, because people are different. People have different skill sets, different weaknesses. I guess I don't understand all your AHA! moments, because, while admittedly pretty much bang on, they're all pretty mundane and quite normal.

Brilliant, because IF anybody is disgruntled about it, it would be "that one", not people here.

Some are unhappy with the "open season" policy against nuked members, for obvious reasons. What part of civility which Mike attempts to get everybody to adhere too, suddenly doesn't count because somebody has been nuked. What message is that really sending, well we are all suppose to act like adults, but if you get shown the gravel you can be insulted, become the brunt of amusement and continual embarrassment. Because deep down this is how we really are, but we can't really be ourselves due to the forum rules.


Finally I find it highly amusing the suspension discussion thread is so quiet recently while this thread is so inactive? I suspect the voyeurism here is very high, irony at it's finest.

Duplicate names on wov,and on most boards are viewed severe violations. And using the said duplicate name repeatedly increases the severity.

So what at your job would be hands down reason to terminate?
repeated stealing
repeated sexual harrassment
repeated violence toward customers or co-workers

Do you have a boss that looks the other way for those instances? And another boss that lets it go. And another boss that says....i will give you one more chance but dont steal anymore or hit employees anymore., or grope a coworker.

There is one thing I have learned.If there is rules, then if you bend the rule for one customer, they will tell others, and others will want the same treatment.And if you dont give them the same treatment....you have an unhapppy customer. It usually comes back to bite you.

In the workplace there is a philosophy that you have to be able to expect the same rules adherence from your best worker, or else dont bust on your worst worker for the same violation. If people see the best person that everyone looks up to getting away with being late, or leaving early, or cursing. or stealing......the others will follow. Good managers are fair and consistent.

There is a way to correct the issue at wov. EXPECT FROM THE MODS CONSISTENCY. They are smart enough to learn the rules and implement them without offending people. There is a way to be fair and consistent without people saying "my definition of fairness is different that yours so we all can do whatever we want"

Saying that you cannot live in a fair and consistent environment monitored by 4 supervisors because its impossible because everyone is different....is an illogical assumption and declaration. There can be specific rules, specific consequences for breaking rules, and specific expectations of the enforcement workers to do so according to the expectations of upper management.

My boss has a 4 year degree in business and her bosses are lawyers and accountants.

If someone works under me and is in a position of power over someone else.....and he/she reprimands and punishes someone in a more severe manner than has been the standard....THAT is my fault. That is my error, in not training him/her sufficiently. I would apologize to the punished person, and reverse or lighten the penalty . I would possibly also apologize to the person who issued the punishment for being faulty in my training. Or I would reprimand that person if I felt that they should know better. Thereby a consistent enforcement of rules prevails...without rumblings of discontent in the background.

Wov has a head person who could do that if he wanted. He obviously does not want to(or assign someone to that position as oversee-er)...so instead this is the consequence....different people using their personal views and bias to enforce...with little or no oversight.

As RonC pointed out.....conservatives might get the shorter end of the stick at wov....an example of "Bias". All the more reason for some sort of standard being followed. RonC is a rather prO-WOV person. So with him stating that carries some weight as opposed to when I would say this over the years.

You said and admitted later that you said that the wiz goes on suspension sprees when he is in a bad mood. Haing a boss in your workplace that does that.....when people are scared when he enters just in case he is in a "bad mood".......that is a horrible climate. JUst because you can find a parallel in the workplace...does not mean its a healthy culture. Just because you can find a parallel in the workplace does not mean that workers or customers are happy with it....doesnt mean that there shouldnt be a better process.

Since the posts are not deleted for an offense(except for MC)......its not imperative that immediate action be taken. It can be talked over and ruled on by the "over-seeing mod".
