the funny thing is that using PMs, people can bet amongst themselves, and leave her out.
people are already complaining that she said that only people that bet should know the results.

So if she is forced to tell her results.....there will be bets behind her back.

Like I said she is a lab rat, a piece of meat, a race horse...no one gives a fuck about her finances.

4 years ago, after her initial bet, how may people followed up and kept in contact with her, and encouraged her to keep the weight off.\???

HugeBlonde wants to lose 100+ pounds and reach a goal weight of 160. That's still pretty fucking fat.

No chance I'd fuck any woman if she weighed over 135.

I agree I always hated that thread. We are basically betting her on something she in realistically in control of.
Reminds me of the bet on Howard stern when Benjy said he would lose weight or get a digit in his rectum. He was in control of it and in the end waved the red flag just to get a bit for the show. The fact that she took umbrage and said she won't tell people who aren't betting is reason number one that this thread should not go on.
Never bring a lot of money to where a poor man lives. He can only lose what little he has. On the other hand it is mathematically possible that he might win whatever you bring with you. What you must do, with money and the poor, is never let them get too close to one another.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, LarryS. But while you're on point with much, you often do jump to some strange conclusions.

None of my post was an intended slight to anyone, mod or member. I was just attempting to get out in front of this thing. The last Challoenge was an embarrassment, IMO. I hated every second of it and found little to no redeeming qualities in it, at all. I, too, hope this resurrection dies a very quick death.

My comments about "don't like it, don't read it" do not carry the weight you think they do. Despite my stating it, there will still be people bitching about it, in it, around it, and everywhere. And just because I said it doesn't mean I'm going to jump on anyone who does. It's... I'm trying to be a ref, basically. That was my little pre-round "let's keep it clean, no low blows, obey all commands" before the fight starts. MAYBE it'll give one person pause. If so, I consider that a win.

But though I know it won't work, I can't say that I understand why. The amount of things and/or people that I've wanted to lose my shit on is legendary. 7 years and I ain't done it once. I just don't understand what's so hard about it. I'm telling you right now that I LOATHE that fucking challenge and I want it to die yesterday. And you probably won't hear me say that at all. No reason for me to shit on what others enjoy.

And we can make a little gentleman's wager right now that people DO, in fact, care. It is my belief that the previous thread garnered so much support for exactly that reason. I think many people viewed it as a win-win. Either they win money, or they "donate" it to a "good cause". While some members are just action junkies, I bet the majority, maybe even the vast majority, entered for just this reason. And since that reason appears to have been false, as there was no life changing event and she just put it all back on and more, none of these people will be interested in "helping" again. I would wager that Wiz is in, SOOPOO might (but will def be involved), and that's about it. Even Axel's band of merry men will likely only join as side action and not with her specifically. My wager is that this thread dies uneventfully, just like I want it to.

But yeah. My words mean little to few. Half of the posts in there will just be bitching about the thread's existence, the happenings therein, or against the OP specifically.

you have a way of saying something that is extremely obvious, and then circling around it as if the meaning cannot be the obvious.

The fact is, that thread is a thread that people find offensive. BBB definitely finds its distasteful. And the answer you gave is....just dont view it...skip over it, block the people. The wiz gave the same advice. There is no other way to look at it.

And my point being...is that I like that philosophy, and if that philosophy prevailed, there would be alot less suspensions and bannings.

THAT thread is one that the wiz enjoys, even though its offensive to some. So the "live and let live" philosophy prevails.

But that philosophy is hit and miss. That philosophy prevails when one is on the right side of an issue...that a mod or mods agrees with. And the "troll" card is pulled out when someone is on the wrong side of the issue.

In this case, a mod(wiz) agrees this is a proper thread.....so the live and let live philosophy.....if you dont like it..leave philosophy....prevails.

however, just post a thread on the wrong side of another topic.....and the troll, spam, insult, punishment hangs over the thread like a noose just waiting to tighten.

Its rather uneven how the philosophy "if you dont like it dont read it" is in play at various times...and then not at others.

Face, I think by your actions you live by that philosophy more than the other mods....and avoid at most costs punishing people.

But you are the odd man out as far as that is concerned. The wiz seems to pull that philosophy out just when it personally suits his amusement..without the well being of the board or customers in play.

As far as caring for her in 2012. I think Mr V's advice if followed...would have been the best advice for her. Tough love.....and a suspension taken for his services.

You will never convince me that its civilized to use a persons body to entertain yourself via bets. Whether its amusing yourself watching people gag on greasy food, or monitoring someone struggle through a diet, and possibly cheer that she is getting nowhere. Its totally sick.
Or cheer, that she is losing weight, in a possibly unhealthy manner, but what do we care....we are on our way to a payday if she lives....we dont care if her potassium levels are stable. As long as she doesnt die from the heart attack, and gets a low calorie diet in the hospital....we have a chance to win some money. As long as the person eating the chicken nuggets doesnt get a gall bladder attack, we can win even more money if we bet on him. Its all so fucking sick.....using peoples bodies for betting amusement.

In this case is just another example of women being objectified. on that site. They are just pieces of meat to bet on. Along with the thread..what is your favorite womans body part......here is...lets bet on a womans body parts losing weight. Add that to posing with half naked women as if they are props for the wizard. Or talking about his wife as if she is some sort of ball and chain......its a grand climate for women customers on that site.

If Hotblonde had a penis(either naturally or through surgery)....that thread would die in an hour.

And I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I recalled a story where I personally did one of those eating things. Then, it was a riot. Now, I have no interest in it. I'd like a good personal interest story, someone working back from injury, someone quitting smoking, but neither this diet nor the nuggets are all that interesting to me. Hence my absence from a majority of them.

But, I guess I don't hold quite as extreme a view as you. I (think I) recall a thread where you spoke about upbringing, and that some were guided toward academic, while others toward athletic. I (think I) recall you saying you were the former, and that you didn't understand or agree with the latter. I, on the other hand, did grow up in the latter. Got some 70+ seasons under my belt and about just about to start my 18th year of hockey. I see people doing... things which are accepted as normal, but are yet kind of odd when you really think about them. I know much of my life has been dedicated to purposefully tearing my tissues, so that they grow, so that the are more explosive, so that I can... smash into other people who do the same things for the same reasons and we just see who wins. That's pretty fucking weird. But I dig it. I AM it. Without sport, I wouldn't know who I am.

This is like that, sort of. Talent yearns to be broadcast. No matter how (insert pejorative here) a talent it is, you gotta show it off.

I entered contests for counting cards. Won 3 trips to Vegas. Could count a 52 card deck with 3 removed with almost 100% accuracy in under 10sec. It was a skill I spent months working on. People do stupid things because it feels good to meet a lofty goal.

 

You totally mis-represent what I said when Mr V asked if being jewish is just a matter of birth designation or something more. I discussed the cultural specifics that are not consistent with some other religions, as catholics are more diverse accross the board in education and cuisine

 

There are some things that are just right and wrong for me. Individuals can do what they like to their bodies in a risk/reward fashion. I bet on football and make profits(on good days) as people willfully get concussions while getting a huge paycheck in return. Again...risk reward.

I do not encourage lay people to do anything that could adversely affect their health for my entertainment. That is something that school kids would do with "dares". Alot of risk...not alot of reward...often leading to emergency room visits and broken bones.

I will not bet, encourage, cheer, boo or lift a finger to help someone do something that could do damage to their health.

People who cheer while others go through competitive eating contests are either willfully ignorant of the possible risks, or are fully aware and just get a sadistic joy in seeing someone gag and possibly vomit....all for 100 dollars or a token trophy.
I say "willfully ignorant" because everyone has access to a computer and can find the same articles I find if they were at all interested in being self aware.

This is because watching the court jester gag over nuggets or pancakes, is of the utmost importance, and health is secondary...as long as there is a good youtube video as a result and the cost is low.

Does the wiz place any priority on safety for the nugget eating contests??? Or is the main goal to get the video and joy of watching possible vomiting in a public place.

Does anyone care if Hotblonde, is under safe guidance in losing 120 lbs in 10 months. Does anyone care if she gets bloodwork done? Does anyone care that she loses the weight in a healthy manner, or is it just the results that matter. ON the losing weight TV shows, there are medical staff present.....labwork continually done, and even that doesnt prevent unforseen issues.

Real friends of Hotblonde, would have her seek help, get on a diet that she can handle for life, and have her lose 30 lbs a year while learning how to eat in a manner that will stay with her. THATS what caring friends of her would do. Caring friends would not have her play "beat the clock" with her bodyweight. THAT USUALLY DOESNT WORK OUT WELL.

 

For your information, I like mission. I like face too. I think these two strong young men have the best chance to be like me. I like babs too. I like to fuck with Shack for the hell of it.

 

By the way. I am not a lawyer. However I am going to guess...that if the standard for competitive eating contests is to have medical personnel on duty.......and the wizard chooses to cut corners and not provide said personnel......he would be liable for any injury to a person that occurred while waiting for medical care to finally arrive after the fact.... If any excessive injury occurred to a person because they had to wait for care to arrive ...its on the wiz. He cut corners on the standard. Just my guess. I am not a lawyer.

Considering she thought it rather humorous that odds were offered relating to EvenBobs death when he disappeared from WoV a while back. Maybe the HB thread strikes a raw nerve, whereas posts relating to offering odds on a members demise is palatable.
