my answer was:

"For me it started decades ago watching people run for office, make promises, and then checking their actual voting record. From just that you can tell if you were lied to. You of course have to remember who lied to you and who carried water for them in the media. Today it's all about your own set of facts. Add to that for three generations of schooled kids you have the mind control thing where they are taught that there are many truths and they are all subjective. They even teach that truth is a weapon that keeps the establishment in power. So they are actually desensitized to real objective critical thinking.

Real truth is not a weapon to cause you harm. And this BS game of catching liberals in their misdirection and hypocrisy is a joke too. It's just a straw man argument to keep the other side occupied while they go about wrecking everything."

Not many countries are, Serbia, Croatia, even the UK is trying to fudge the figures so the Government won't look so bad. This is why the estimated deaths from the 1917 pandemic can range from 50M ~ 100M.

Suffice to say Australia and New Zealand are pretty accurate.

As for ChinAAAN, 21 million mobile phone contracts cancelled in Jan-Feb, granted not all of those cancellations would be a result of Covid-19, but certainly a sizeable percentage would be, which kinda makes a mockery from the published CCP figures.. Even if only 10% of those cancellations were due to Covid, that equates to 2 million.

Aye, things have improved here, daily death rates less than 20, like they said on Games Of Thrones, Winter Is Coming (2nd wave). Too many are putting their bottom line ahead of peoples lives, 10 paying tourists, 1 dies, too bad, so sad, no insurance cover for Covid. No matter how bad it gets in winter the UK simply can't afford to shut down again, same with a lot of economies..

It's fuckin' stupid at the end of the day, because you only need to lock down for 3~4 weeks, if nobody moves during this time, all those infected would be identified and then could be isolated ~ treated or buried.

 

Made a mistake above, it was 116 deaths in the last 24 hrs, which is slowly creeping up. Fuckin' Government is making it harder and harder to find the figures, there was mention of not making them public.

 

Yes totally agree if everyone just stayed indoors for that month of march or even april it would be all over now and semi back to normal. It appears nearly every country (except down-under) is now fudging their death figures, don't wish to cause mass panic, civil unrest, break down of law and order, shame or embarrassment? Who knows.

Certainly the United Kingdom is included, some are really bad like Russia were you didn't die of Covid unless you were tested, which is the same as Brazil, and of course China. Now India is getting on in the act (where's Alibaba)!!

As gamblers we are usually pretty apt with figures; it should be easy to spot something is amiss with the figures coming out of India.

Using New Delhi which has a population of 26M according the 2016 census for example, The CDC recently tested 21,387 randomly chosen people, 23.5% has Covid19 anti-bodies (allowing for false positives 22.86%).

This means it is almost certain that there are 6 million infections. With a 1% death rate, it would equate to 59,000 dead and 18M infected people (it will be significantly higher than that given poor peoples lack of access to decent health care), however the official figures for all of India is just under 2M infected and 28k dead.

Not unexpected when people live on top of each other, packed like sardines, I shudder to think how those who live in the Favela's in Brazil are coping, then on the other hand, haven't successive governments being struggling to control the crime and lawlessness of these areas for decades? Yeah, let Covid19 run through the place, problem solved.

The UK is just as culpable, they estimate the number of infected people is x10 than the officially released figures.

Here is some remarkable data, Thailand has only recorded 58 deaths, both Laos and Vietnam have recorded ZERO deaths and really low infection rates. Whether these figures are accurate, they think the possible reason for this, is due to the previous outbreak of SARS which left many of the population with immunity to Covid19.

What makes these three counties special? They acted FAST, they didn't trust China and The W.H.O, the mandated the wearing of masks, closed it's borders, got on top of track and testing really fast.
