Been reading up on a lot of these posts in this forum. And the one thing that always comes up is “How to find the Holy Grail?”.

Some has searched far and wide for it, but always comes up empty handed. Some even came close to it, but only to find disappointment.

Does the Holy Grail actually exist? Who knows? Only time could tell.

But there’s one thing for sure. The Holy Grail is more than finding the right winning system (Don’t get me wrong, it’s one of the key elements, but there are other factors that make up the Holy Grail as well).

The other key factors to obtain the Holy Grail is what I call the Big Five:
    • Money Management
    • Knowledge
    • Discipline
    • Patience
    • Strategies
I’ll break each one down in detail in future posts to prevent long-ass reading.

    So stay tuned

Knowledge should include specific skills. This will be worthless if this is not included.

Before you do anything you have to give a short definition of what the Holy Grail is because everybody has a different one. Some people think it's winning more sessions than losing. Some people think it's winning every session you play. Other people think Holy Grail means you can sit at the table and bet and bet and bet and always win. Personally I think the Holy Grail is a myth, it doesn't exist. But I am interested in what you have to say. I have a winning method but it's certainly not the Holy Grail. It's very controlled and very specific and I have to keep my exposure down to a minimum so I never play to make more than one or two units in any one session. More often than not I make my one unit goal on my first bet. But not always. My personal record is 27 sessions in a row without a loss. But that was unusual. It was playing my game every time I played.

I don't know about the Holy Grail but this list is not right for a winning method or system. Number one is always bet selection. Without a way to select the next bet that wins more than losses you've got nothing. Money management belongs at the very bottom, if you've got a good bet selection money management takes care of itself. Knowledge patience discipline, of course. But bet selection is the king, it's what you spend most of your time developing and if you're not doing that you're on the road to nowhere. I don't even have to ask Gizmo, I already know that's what he spent most of his time on. I'm still doing it today always trying to improve my best selection.

EC's are 100% bet selection, 0% luck. The only time that EC's depend on luck is when you're betting randomly like a ploppy.

When I say target luck that is because there is only one way to lose a session the way that I play. There must be a swarm of first try losses or a slow grind downward of first try losses. I don't bet past a first try loss unless I'm exploiting a perfect pattern that keeps going. But the sequence of death that kills all progressions also happens to bet selection players. I don't mean to keep firing away in a stream of losses. I mean when you try to place a great looking bet selection it loses. It looks like bad luck to the unsuspecting. It's just randomness. But you can work your way around these forms of chaos. You can take a break from a slow grind downward. You don't have to lose all the bets that the math guys need you to lose. That swarm of perfect first try losses will always go away. They are very rare anyway. People just don't know how to step back and see the bigger picture. So they get killed by the first steam roller that comes along. That's randomness.

If I lose my first bet I move on to something else entirely. My assumption is always if I lost that bet and I stay with this I'm going to lose more than once. So I wait for a totally different betting opportunity to present itself. That's why I do not use progressions, I don't care how good you are they will get you in trouble eventually. Just a few days ago on a single 0 wheel I saw four zeros in 9 spins. That would have killed a progression no matter how good your bet selection is.

    Spike, see what I mean.

Nathan Detroit thinks its 100% luck.
He thinks the rest is bullshit.

    He's entitled to his opinion.

Nothing wrong with expressing his opinion, right?
It's OK to read his opinion right?

We can't control what others do on forum.

We definitely can control what we do.
