This is a bet selection that captures all shoe Trends.

It is not mine, it originated from some Google Groups page 2004, and was later posted on Izaks lets talk winning web-site in 2005.

    Enjoy

    ===============================================================

I am going to post a bet selection method to introduce my capture concepts. Please, realize that the method I am going to show is only an intro.

Remember, this is only an intro to how to beat baccarat, but it can stimulate you to develop something much, much better.

Later, I will go into more detail about how to use the capture method to full advantage. One of my basic principles is that I don't ever believe in predicting anything that will happen in a shoe (baccarat) other than that patterns which we all know occur will indeed occur. Trending is ridiculous.

Some precepts (others at a later date):
    a. Predicting what will happen next based on what happened previously will only work to capture repeats.
    b. All patterns which can occur can be defined.
    c. All patterns which can occur will occur sometime.
    d. Techniques can be described which will ensure the capture of all patterns.

Here is the (Same Opposite Tag method) or SO method as an intro to the concept of capture.

Baccarat players have often talked about the old nemesis the 2,2,2,2 chop and the 2,1,2,1

The following is a capture system for bet selection, meaning that it is designed to snare certain pattern occurrences.

Now, like so many bet selections this one has limitations. Remarkably, it will get those streak patterns I mentioned and also to it's credit it will win on the long streaks like the 15 bankers in a row, plus it also captures another common occurrence, the 1,1,1,1,1's. Now, that sounds like it wins on everything that can happen in a shoe, but the limitation is this, any pattern must be established before the capture kicks in.

It will amaze you on shoes which have certain distributions of occurrences, on others it will break even and on some it will only lose a little.

I revealing this one? To illustrate a new idea to anyone who is interested the concept of capture and to open those people up to a new world of bet selection which breaks away from the conventional follow the shoe (last) or avant dernier (before last).

This method is called the SO system. This stand for Same/Opposite, because we are betting the next bet will be either the same or opposite as the hand before last based on how that previous hand played in relation to previous occurrences. This sounds somewhat complicated, but by using a simple mechanical method to predict using what I call "predictor tags," it is simply understood.

This requires keeping a record as play occurs, but the decision of how to bet is simple.
    SO system:

    1. You will "no bet" the first 4 occurrences in a shoe. Keep a record of play in two columns of B or P (casino cards are ok for this, but you can make better ones to take). You can't start betting until after four have been played.

    2. Beginning at the third, define whether each result, was O tag or S tag. This is your "predictor" tag. In other words, you will tag (or report) what just happened as the Same as the Before Last (S tag) or the Opposite of Before Last (O tag). Notice, you are merely recording how the current one (last one that was just dealt) is in relation to two plays back. These become our "predictor" tags.

    3. After the fourth play, now you look at the third play, to decide your bet for the fifth.

    4. Your bet for the next (future) occurrence will always be decided by looking at the "predictor" tag for the last one (one back) and playing the next one exactly in response to that tag you previously wrote. In other words, it is like an equation or formula.

    5. Example: If the "predictor" tag on the previous play (one back) was O and the previous play (one back) was a banker then you will bet the opposite of banker or player.

    6. In summary, the tags for each occurrence report how what just happened is in relation to two plays back. Your next bet responds to what the tag written one play back tells you to do in relation to what happened on that hand.

The method is simply, after the last play I first write its tag. Next, I look at the previous hand and finally bet what it tells me. If that tag says S and the hand was B, on the next hand (future) I will bet that it will be B (ie, same as banker).

    Code:

    B
    B
P O tag (you see, the tag is because the P is the opposite of the B two plays back)
P O tag next bet look at previous tag, which is O and bet opposite of P which is B (bet is done by executing the tag one play back, so we bet the opposite of P)
    B O tag (winner) next bet O of P: B
    B O tag (winner) next bet O of B: P
    P O tag (winner) next bet O of B: P
    P O tag (winner) next bet O of P: B
    B O tag winner next bet O of P: B
P S tag (lose) next Next bet is opposite of previous or P
    B S tag (lose) next bet S as P or P
    P S tag (winner) next bet S as B or B
    B S tag (winner) next bet S as P or P
    P (winner) S tag Next bet S as B or B
    B (winner) S tag next bet S as B or P
    P (winner) O tag next bet S as B or B
    P (lose) O tag next bet O of P or B
    P (lose) S tag next bet O of P or B
    P (lose) S tag next bet S as P or P
    P (winner) S tag next bet S as P or P
P (winner) S tag next bet S as P or P (you can see wins would continue with ongoing streak)

You can see how this handles 2,2's and the 1,1's. Notice the trend has to be established before it is captured, but it will then snare wins as long as it continues... you can see that it works the same way on the long streaks like the 15 bankers, as well.

However, look at the weaknesses.... you see those repeat losses? If the luck of the draw causes those to occur repetitively, then you could have a disastrous shoe.

Here are the results from an entire shoe from the 72 days book. Take a look at shoe 573 and see how you would play it... The SO method wins 14 units on this shoe.

    Code:

    Shoe 563
    B
    P
B S tag from two back
B O tag bet as previous shows which is S or B
    B S tag (win) bet previous O or P
P O tag (win) Next bet is the same as previous S or B (i.e. executing the previous tag)
B (win) S tag bet Next bet is opposite of previous or B (i.e. executing the previous tag)
B (win) S tag Next bet is same as previous or B
B (win) S tag Next bet is same as previous or B
B (win) S tag Next bet is same as previous or B
P (lose) O tag Next bet is same as previous or B

    P (win) last in shoe

How can you improve this? Here is the method for your studies; you will need find out the weaknesses of this bet selection method. Then you need to design improved methods of capture to overcome any of the weaknesses this one is showing.

In the meantime (until you figure out how to overcome the weaknesses of this bet selection), if you can choose the right way to bet this SO method (and there is a very good one) .... you will have a very reliable winning method which is worth playing.

O S.png Here is a picture sample if anyone wants to get a visual on how this stuff plays out. Just a different way of slice and dice. Makes things visually simpler BUT does NOT change the average number of runs that exist in a shoe. O S.png

Isn't this just dbl and odbl and follow which one hits or am I missing something in the narrative?

Yeah, of course. There is no narrative. LOL, It just rearranges the runs, doesn't change the overall average run lengths. There was a guy in the old defunct forum (forget his handle) who insisted this method provided more repeats than the expected. If that was true it would be a major finding. . . but it's not true. I does give a different perspective as anyone can easily see. How you play it is up to you. I'll guarantee that simply following what happened before not going to cut it!

Think you are referring to Dozenbettor, aka Sam Redman aka, Rosco and many other handles.
