I agree, for most people it will be a waste of time. They don't have the patience to learn it.

FRANK, Go to a hospital and seek out the finance departmet. Tell them you just got fired your unemployed and have no way to pay for your hernia surgery and need help. They will either seek out financial assistance for you or direct you where to go to find assistance. You probably won't have to pay a dime out of your pocket. IF and this is only IF they give you no help. Go and punch someone in the face. When your arrested state your in extreme pain because of the hernia. Dont let up keep on about it. They will get you to the hospital for surgery. Downside a little jail time. Upside hernia fixed free of charge. If they decide to give you a bill ignore it. It's done all the time. Sorry is this sounds bad but this is real life.

God Emperor of Dune was my favorite book. I liked almost all the movies including the Children of Dune mini-series, but not as a true representation of the books. It was more like being able to like Star Wars when you really wanted to see Star Trek.

I'm just about out of options, so I will look into this. As you mentioned before I'm not the only pro-gambler that never got medical insurance. I know many, several of them have done the medical tourism thing in Mexico or Cuba and they know all the ins and outs. I'm going to tap that resource. I am getting a "real ID" so I can travel next week. I will look into the financial support thing.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this but I know almost nothing about financing things or credit. I've paid cash for everything all my life.

It's weird how pro gambling handicaps you in in-obvious ways even when you make money doing it. I know it handicapped my social life and limited my options for dating. I had to make a rule not to date anyone that gambles (due to bad experiences) and later I added no drinking, no drugs, and no religion. Of course living in Vegas it's hard to find non-gambling substance-abuse-free atheists. You can check two boxes but that third one seems to preclude the former ones.
