This is what he said in his 1910 book about the small Martingale and the Great Martingale.

"Both these systems are a fraud and a delusion, and it is only a question of time before the player is sure to be defeated."

I posted many years ago on the Glen, that the Marty is the Rolls Royce of gambling progressions, none of this win back to back or 2 from three win requirement, nor 33%, a single win and you're done. I dabbled with it, 100, 200, 400, 800, a quick way to earn $100, shitting myself betting the 800, then it didn't work and that fucking hurt. The Rolls Royce of progressions because a single win is all that is required, but too expensive to run. ,

Why does everyone always think you have to go for the big unit? If your first bet is a quarter unit, second half unit, and third a full unit. If you lost all three your only down one and three quarters of a unit. You then switch to either flat betting or d'lam or labby or what ever. True it takes four wins to get a unit but so what. If you hit around twelve you have three units with no sweat or strain to get there.

I think the way the majority jump on some one thats found something they like shows a group think that if you don't follow what they think your wrong..... It's funny the main leaders in this have never lost a bank roll.

The most simple things seem to be the most over thought...... I recall someone once saying they invented the marty only to find out it was a thing..... To me that's funny. I invented it to in either first or second grade. Along with D'lam and a form of the labby with bail out bets. Only to find out years later that the double up, the one up, and the don't lose your ass all had names. lol

It's not that hard. And as a side note. 321 The odds are not in your favor on the first bet. The odds in Baccarat are always 50 50. As for the guy that always has to say that's wrong you have to consider the tie. NO you don't you don't lose on a tie so if betting p and b it's a non event. Always has been always will be.

I know post that make sense are a waste of time.... Sorry to waste anyone who read this..... Where's the forty grand a day guy I know you all skeez when he shows up......

You remind me of myself at one point in my life. I was in a bad motorcycle accident. Not only was I broke at the time, the accident rattled my brain a bit, mixed with the pain meds people said the stupidest shit was coming out of my mouth. I was basically retarded for a few days. It was terrible. Fortunately, I got through and recovered… I always thought it would suck pretty bad to be like that for the rest of my life. So, what’s it like?

Don’t bother to answer, we have enough brain damaged people here to get an idea.

Jae whether it was on the inside you learned your scamming skills or on the outside. The amount of fertilizer you have spread excites the gullible. Any observant person that has spent a considerable amount of time in a casino knows your a fraud.
I like the insults. When you can't present an argument write a little insult story. I also like how you regurgitate information word for word from the so called gambling experts.

Just you tube alone has enough card counters getting the boot for as low as 3 to 4 thousand dollars. But, I know you have never seen a Baccarat guy booted. Even a team taking 40,000 a day. Don't get to used to the outside because you will end up back in.

Yeah Jae your writing wears who you are..... A true success in life has no need to try to convince others. They don't give a shit. Scammers are always attempting to build themselves up.......

I’m starting to think every person I feud with on here is the same person with a different account. What was this handle inspired by, Porky? First love, parents pet name for ya. Maybe you’re all different people and just can’t figure out how to distinguish “you’re and your.”

You can call me a scammer all you want; though the shoe doesn’t fit as I haven’t scammed anyone out of anything. I’m living the life you could only dream of. Bet.

    Scammer 101

    1. Use old bet decision methods gamblers have used for years. FTS, DBL, FTB, 4B4, Bal unBl, etc.
    2. Use a MM that unfortunately everyone knows fails at some point. Dlam, Fibo, Star, Labby, Martingale, Oscar's Grind, etc.
    3. Make a video or videos demonstrating how failed mm or bet sel works.
    4. Convince people you have made millions with it.
    5. When questioned about it. It always comes down to the person not using enough bank roll. On this one everyone I think would agree that you would even win with martingale with enough of a limit and bankroll.
    6. And this is what the craps and a lot of BJ scammers do as well. Wait for them to contact you to get in on this action because of the need for the large bankroll. I could give several names of ones doing this but what would be the point. Also if you present a good enough presentation you may be contacted by syndicate players.

The only reason I got tired of this scammer was his insistence of attempting to contradict several of my posts. I get absolutely nothing from posting other than getting to engage in gambling discourse. When I state some thing I've seen and know first hand to be a fact he then makes ridiculous comments that only someone with no casino knowledge would state.

So if he hasn't spent that much time in a casino how in the hell would he have made millions. And do you really think any casino would not make a 40,000 a day team and spread the word. They spread the word for a lot less. I even had a casino I went to everyday. My mistake. I would only win 3 units and I thought that would be cool. No they took steps against me. Yes I heard them talking about me more than once and the day it got ugly was a definite effort to screw me...... Not in Jaes world. I would have gotten comps and free meals, etc. Give me a break...

That Sir does not compute as a scammer using my commodore 64, Atari, or Sega Genesis system.

Please add to the reasonings so I can input more data to recheck Jae scammer status.

    That is all...

    Thank you

    A six level marty has 2×2×2×2×2×2 = 64 combinations.

So 63 if those combinations will win and 1 combination will lose 63 units.

It won't take that many series to see it lose.

The math (binomial mass function) says after 45 attempts you are 50% likely to have lost to the nemises pattern. Doubling that bankroll with a marty only has a 37% likelihood, and therfore a 63% chance to lose a bankroll before doubling it.

Ok now for the grand martingale..

A grand marty will cost you 120 units when it loses (1+3+7+15+31+63 = 120) however because it wins a unit for every single bet placed you don't have to win as many series to double a bankroll.

So how many series would that be ???

Well half the series will win on the first bet, and a half again on the second bet and so on, halving each time, but each level wins a unit for each bet placed so the net win is 1u, 2u, 3u, 4u, 5u, or 6u.

The payout and probability will go (0.5×1u)+(0.25×2u)+(0.125×3u)+(0.0625×4u)+(0.03125×5u)+(0.015625×6u) = 2.875u per series on average

    So 120u / 2.875u = 41.75

And so we see that 42 attempts on average is required to make 120u profit and double the bankroll, and that surprisingly has a 51.6% chance of achieving it before a bust.

So we see that you have a better than 50% chance to double a bankroll and less than 50% to lose when using theoretical 50/50 coin toss probability with no house edge.

Obviously the actual probability of what you're betting on and the return will alter the numbers due to house edge.

So if you have 120u and want to double it, the easiest way is a single 120u bet and that pays minimum house edge. A longer way is a grand martingale but it must pay some edge.

I'm not endorsing the approach, merely showing the logic and math and the flaw in the standard martingale.

The grand martingale whilst higher bankroll is better in the sense that with the same probability of losing it needs less series attempts to double the BR.

If you can double the BR and then do it again you get compounding effects. This is possible (but not certain) given its basically a 50/50 proposition, it's the same as getting two heads or two tails in a row. But let's say you do, you will then have 4 bankrolls and can regress your unit size and split the resulting total bankroll into 3 parts, two backups and 1 primary, noting that this time your unit size is now 33% larger. Repeat the process again growing all the time. When you do lose a BR it is paid for from the prior profits. It's possible to compound the BR and build up a sizable backup bankroll even with a few BR losses along the way. It's really the first few cycles that are critical and give you the leg up to build and recover from inevitable losses.

Ok I botched up entering the calculation on my calculator, it's 1.875U (not 2.875u) as the average win per series for the grand martingale.

This makes it 64 series wins required on average to double a 120u BR so in essence no better than the standard martingale to replace a BR percentage wise. In absolute terms the grand marty will make the equivalent 63u as the regular martingale in just 34 series wins (on average) vs 63 wins for the regular martingale. Of course the risk is almost double for your trouble.

I forgot to mention that it is folly to mask a poor betting method/ bet selection through negative or positive progression. When looking at a method in the cold light of day the results of flat betting are what matters. A positive progression on top of a solid flat betting method will increase profitability, making a negative progression unnecessary.

Winning or losing 6 times in a row is common. Sitting at the tables and waiting for trigger just delays the inevitable.
Martingale has not worked for me and many people. Busting and trying to catch up on the losses is very tiring. If it works for you, keep it up.

    Thank you Zhang.
It works really good for me.

Can i ask you, if you ever tried to play this game like i do by opening table daily and hitting some units and closing? Dont spend a lot of time at table, just open, see whats situation around table and just go for your unit or 5 units, then close and later a day open up again.
Even if it dont make sens, i think your results will change drastically with martingale.

I know people say, there is no difference between playing like this or sitting long hours at table but the men who will give it a try will see the possibility of generating a good income.

Have a grate day Zhang and best of luck a tables.
