I rarely post now, it's very boring here. All
the interesting members have been banned
or left. I used to post 20+ times a day, now
it's a few times a week. Some days I don't

Funny. I have been warning aboutthis for years. Even when I was on the site and allowed to post, I could see this coming from how others were treated. I was one of the first to recognize wov as a business, and view their customer service as substandard. And as in every business that has customers...if you dont treat them fairly and with respect...the business starts to die.

So now after whining and clamoring to get people punished, all of a sudden they look nostalgically at banned members and long for the old days when more interesting people were involved in patronizing the site.

Yeah, keep banning, and you get a closed country club of mathboys in a circle jerk. What ??/ thats not fun?.... no kidding.

 

Notwithstanding the banning issue, I think WoV is still a good gambling web site.

Just out of curiosity, what gambling boards do YOU like better, and why?

 

WOV most definitely is a business. One of many owned by the rapidly expanding LCB network. As such, when something happens on WOV it reflects on the entire network and right now it's reflecting badly.

I've said it before. Wizard of Odds has good information, some of it out dated and most of it readily available elsewhere. Still good for a quick question though. WOV is the ugly stepsister, the ball and chain, the great embarrassment, of gambling forums. Now dominated by bitchy little girls whose only concerns are getting others suspended, promoting themselves and bragging about unsubstantiated casino wins. Anyone kissing butt has the ear of the mods and has influence.

Can it be restored to it's former glory? That's doubtful as the mods, with manboy's blessing, have done some serious sabotage. That doesn' mean they shouldn't try - beginning with a thorough house cleaning.

Until then the site remains the laughingstock of the web.....and the one laughing the most is "take the money and run" manboy himself. Time for the owners, the real businessmen, to step up.....to stop the bleeding and take control. If that means pulling the plug then so be it. It's just business.

 

Manboy is asking for questions for his upcoming video interview mandated by the "big boss". The usual cult members are falling all over themselves to post their softball questions.....nothing of substance there.

Wouldn't it be fun to pose our questions here and have them brought to manboy? We need a volunteer. Someone from this site who also posts over there to bring our questions to him. Any takers?

Although they all deny it, this is the first site that manboy and his merry mods click on every day. If the questions were posted directly there, manboy wouldn't be able to squirm out of it. If the mods miss something here Ibeatyouraces is always more than willing to mention it. In fact he asked manboy how he felt about the sites that don't speak highly of him. He ignored the question but beached whale answered in her typical blowhard fashion. It's always about her isn't it?

IF i was 24 this answer would be different.

But info from wov, or other sites at this point in my gambling life is of little value. I have come to learn that after learning the games, reading a couple books on each.....there is nothing new under the sun that I didnt already know(from reading) or cant figure out for myself at this stage. There is no magic roulette play, no craps super system, no sports betting guru that will teach me anything.

I used wov for amusement, not for a learning experience. I did try to get people to talk about sports betting but all I got was a bunch of sports fans cheering for their team. But I kept trying.

I would post on topics that I thought promoted some new advantage type play,like dice setting, or R Singer here. Or topics where I had expertise like obamacare, or medically related issues.
Or I would post on political totally opinion type posts.

But I never sought a better way to play any game. I would post my way of playing and see if someone could poke holes in it for sports betting. But I dont think the people there are that involved other than to root for their team.

I never said wov is dying because their gambling content advice is inferior to others. They are like a store that may have some good products, but their customer service sucks....so people leave.

In a successful business you need goos products and good customers service.....you need BOTH.
One without the other is ruination

"not withstanding the banning issue".....is not something I conform to. I think the banning issue is large. Standing by and watching me and or my neighbors be poorly treated is not something I would tolerate in exchange for being able to devote time and energy to support their business with posts. I can still view everything anyone else can if I wanted to. But like I said, I dont need that type of info.

 

Darkoz really needs to tell them idiots that are jacking with him to kiss off. Instead he is kowtowing to them. He has the right to post up any information on any play. But the advanced AP"s are brow beating him to insure it doesn't happen again. He really needs to tell those self absorbed nits to stick it where the sun don't shine. Just because one is an advanced AP does not entitle one to exclusive information. Any AP's that think they have the right to stifle the free flow of information are nothing but arrogant, egotistical assholes that need to be horse whipped.

In Sept 2014, the sale of WOV was announced. That prompted some *cough* APs to leave the site, fearful that their slot prowess would be exposed and they would lose their "jobs". Most were up front, simply saying they were done. Then we have IBYA. His almost 6000 posts from Sept 2014 back to Jan 2010 mysteriously disappeared, each one replaced with the word deleted.

He laid low until the following April where, upon his return, he made the following terse statement: "I was hacked by a former friend. That's all I'm going to say about it, period". He then resumes posting as if nothing happened. Only one member had a question...only one. Bigfoot said: "The timing of your hack was incredible. It occurred at exactly the same time as the announcement of the sale". Ya think? Everyone tell manboy to go F himself and then say you were hacked. They'll buy it right? When you have a falling out with a friend what's the first thing you do? Challenge him to a duel? Discuss it like adults? Heck no. You find out what forum he's on. Then you hack it and delete his posts. That will show him.

How ironic that the same gutless people that didn't call him on it have no problem slamming dicesitter, Exoter and others for simply discussing the games that they love. It doesn't matter who is right or wrong. They're here to discuss.

Even with the 6000 deletes our boy, IBYA, proudly lays claim to being the 6th top WOV poster. Apparently that is important to some over there. Right, beached whale? Right husband of the year? Daylight hours are increasing. Guess you'll be spending less time peeking into your flophouse windows and more time plagiarizing Wiki for your vapid articles.

 

I agree, someone hacks into your computer, nd insead of trying to steal credit card info, or type something embarrasing under hus name on other sites. THe hacker does the painstaking job of deleting thousands of posts.
And then does nothing further.
And this hacking occired during the exodus of others because of change of management.

the way the mods punish people who they dont agree with.......well a portion of the population emulates that.....there are many ways to censor what you dont like. Use a middle man and whine to the mods, or do the flagging direct route.

Let me note that there are still a few good posters over there.....free thinkers who haven't fallen prey to the cult. As for the rest....what you see is what you get.

Other forums have flagging but how many allow regular members to obliterate a post on a whim? That's something that disrupts entire threads, making them disjointed and nonsensical. But it gives manboy and his misfit mods another outlet for their sick, twisted fantasies.

If a post that they don't like suddenly vanishes, they don't say a word. If a post by a favorite cult member disappears, they scream bloody murder and launch an investigation. That's the way they want it. Otherwise flagging would only notify a mod, not wipe out a post. That's the way it is in the world of manboy....the DICKtator.

One only has to look at the 6000 posts deleted by Ibeatyouraces - er I mean his former friend - to see the dozens of ruined threads caused by that selfish, childish act. Threads that no longer make sense after he "took his ball and went home".

Not to mention the slap in the face to Zuga and the other owners....a slap wholeheartedly endorsed by manboy. Isn't Zuga from some Communist country? Is that why he allows manboy to be the DICKtator?

 

Here we go again. Rushdl starts the thread "Don't/Do It To It" to talk about his craps experience. Just a guy who enjoys the game and wants to discuss it with like minded people. Isn't that what normal people do? Not in the make believe land of WOV.

OnceDear and PokerGrinder jumped all over him with multiple insults, insults that would have gotten anyone else suspended.

OnceDear, the buffoon whose first post was a half page, long winded tripe about his big wins at online blackjack. Nobody jumped on him for those wild claims yet he feels compelled to do just that to rushdl and others who make perfectly legitimate claims.

I saved the best for last....PokerGrinder. Here are some of his comments directed at rushdl. "Did you make that tinfoil hat yourself"? "Coo coo". "Out to lunch". "I should have realized that I'm fighting insanity here".

No suspension. You see, PokerGrinder is not only firmly entrenched in the cult, he is an expert in all things. He's a chip collector *cough* AP to boot...but that's not what makes him an expert. What makes this boy an expert is his success in swallowing 100 nuggets. A real pro. A pro's pro.

Yes, this is the guy who flew in to Vegas all the way from Canada to make a fool of himself for the enjoyment and pleasure of manboy. No suspension on his horizon. Carry on girls.

I only point this out to show yet another example of the biased and uneven enforcement of the rules by the hopelessly dysfunctional mods and their mentally disturbed leader. In the real world, the one occupied by normal adults, these so called insults would not be given a second thought.
