Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

I assume this is meant as an insult. Not speaking specifically of myself, but not everyone finds this all that objectionable. To some it might be like saying "you should eat a big bag of popcorn". To which someone might reply "well, ok, maybe I will...thanks for the suggestion".

Just to clarify, is sucking a "big fat dick" more of a slam than sucking a dick? And if sucking both a big and fat dick is more of a slam, which by itself is worse, sucking a big dick or sucking a fat dick? Or is it the combination of big and fat that makes it a super slam?

KJ, you're missing the subtlety of the dig. He didn't specify human dick. He may have been referring to elephant dick, which would translate as roughly, "May you choke and asphyxiate while getting a sledgehammer down your throat."

Or he may have been referencing wolverine dick, which would roughly mean, "May your entrails be ripped from your gullet while sucking a weasel."

You've gotta read between the lines.

Whenever you represent WoV here, that site's credibility takes another hit and they then wonder why they're the laughing stock of the net. So keep it up, manboy's lapdog. Mikey must be beaming with pride as all the people that used to respect him just shake their heads in disbelief.

Here we go again! Someone at WoV just posted info on a blackjack promo at Harrah's Chester (Pa). Posting of the promo and what each bonus pays is fine. That is general info that is available on the website and in any promo material sent out or advertised about the promo.

But Wizard just can't help himself, posting a complete breakdown of the math with a concluding statement that the promo is worth $216/hr. (flatbetting) That figure is incorrect BTW as the BJ 3-2 payout and s17, LS rules mandated by the state of Pa make the house edge lower and the value of the promo more than Mike stated.

But just the posting of the math breakdown with the conclusing statement of how much the promo is worth to an AP is the kind of thing that gets such a promo cancelled or downgraded. It has happened time and time again. I don't understand this guy's thinking. If he has the need to break down the math to show us all how smart he is, do so after the promo, so the folks at the casino don't say "hey we gotta take a second look at this".

Also this 4 hour promo has a little bit of a "sting" feel to it to me. An AP information gathering exercise.

 

And this is what you added to WoV and you can add here. Living close to this casino I would have never thought of the "sting" aspect of this. And yea, not sure those in the know continue to tolerate Mike pulling this stuff. Doesn't help Chan get players online. Add Dancer and his questionable casino connections in and it makes you wonder. Take away all the censorship nonsense and other than companionship with good people, it makes little sense to post over there.

 

Even if the play is worth 300 an hour-
There are only 24 seats up for grabs- not worth traveling for a shot at possibly 1200 and 300 is more then it actually worth, I'm sure you will have to play for at least 2-3 hour before hand to get a space and I'm sure you will be limited to one spot

 

Yea but the point is why put it out there? Nothing to gain unless you feel these are all hypothetical at this point, or don't want anyone to take advantage of it. You sure as hell are not putting your best current plays out there for the public, nor should you, it's your living. Again, Chan isn't making money off it, so what is the endgame?

 

Thanx Boz, Always appreciate you objectivity and support. I am sure the "sting" comment has some questioning my paranoia, but I have seen it done before. Casino runs a promo, especially a very short timed promo and anyone who shows up to play is no longer welcome to play and documented in one or more of the databases. The brevity of the time period (4 hours) of this promo is what seems very similar. Plus Pennsylvania seems to be going through a transition period recently as they have turned more aggressive in their approach to dealing with AP's And Harrah's, a Caesar's property to boot. Need I say more. lol

As for Dancer, he doesn't effect me much as VP play is only a minority part of my APing and my partner handles all that. Plus our approach is more about exploiting the generous mailers offered by the local type casino circuit that are in competition with each other for the same players. But Dancer most definitely has the feel of a man playing both sides. He gives seminars or lessons at South Point, you know he is paid for that.

As for Mike, there's a topic I haven't talked about in a while. lol But trying to be objective, I really don't know what to make of him. His censorship issues are outrageous and he just hasn't been able to adequately explain them. As a matter of fact he rarely tries too. He rarely even acknowledges his own membership's concerns. And the more and more things that pop up, the more you have to question his behavior. It really seems like he might not be on the side of AP's. I think it is fair to say he is no friend to AP's.

 

Okay, kudos to you for immediately highlighting the sting aspect of this. As someone who does not play blackjack, I might have missed this angle despite being a cynical bastard.

You have to give Wiz credit. It's a start.
Often times I find that apologizing can be difficult. Doing it on a public forum as opposed to privately emailing or PM'ing that person takes more moxy.

 

i don't know boz, mike shackleford, or wov, but this thread has somehow really got me interested in this whole saga.

i have read a few of boz's posts here and do you know what this apology looks like to a complete outsider?

well, you know when a girl dumps you and you immediately start dating a hotter chick? and then your ex suddenly wants you back? yeah, that's exactly what this looks like.

but maybe i'm wrong. i'm probably the least knowledgeable about this whole topic after all and the only thing i know about this wizard guy is from what i've read on this thread which is probably a bit biased. but i'm fascinated with this whole saga because it's the story that just keeps on giving, so i thought i'd throw in my $0.02.
