Exactly. If you want to win $50 bet $50 or bet $25 twice. Betting $5 10 times will get you there but it can also get you in a heck of a lot of trouble. Bet what you can afford. I never use progressions because on the EC's if you can't win flat betting you should not be playing. I know that sounds harsh but it's the truth.

When the poster from Brazil said he waits 12 to 16 pf a streak before betting it caught my attention.

Am unusual high number to wait for. Then he mentioned that it was on line casino roulette .

IF I am seeing 5 or 7 repeaters in a row at a B & M casino that is not too often ,

Johno, I have seen you bring up 3z a few times in threads and using it as a grid. Is it ok to go full on discussion of 3z now or no? I'll respect what you want.

It's true that I'm learning. Devise strategies that fit flat bets.
I like your view of the SPIKE game.

That's why Baccarat players see streak of say 10 constantly :angelic:

    The Maths prevails.

"It's true that I'm learning. Devise strategies that fit flat bets".

    Good luck, there aren't any

What you are talking about here is bet selection.
You can follow chops, streaks, Bailey's bet selection bb,pp,bb,pp or you can make your own pattern if you prefer. All have their strengths and weaknesses.

If you are using a short martingale like 1,2,4,8,16..betting for a streak to continue it has the same probability of not continuing in that 5 betting sequence. First don't ever go overboard with your betting progression otherwise you might not be able to recover and 2nd... choose what bet selection you prefer... personally, I bet against the streak..but what streak is that? Is it against the BB,PP,BB bet selection? Betting opposite of chop in the shoe? Or something else completely different? To me it doesn't matter, choose what you prefer, the main topic of discussion should always be money management and when to place bets with whatever bet selection method you have.

Oh, by the way Junket, brought you up in a post a while back, someone recommended your string method of play 11,2,2,3 or something like that. Isn't it very similar to d’Alembert method, with just 1s in the front since you are going up and down on units in a similar way? I was testing it on a few shoes, the string method, but couldn't seem to make it work, maybe I did it wrong or maybe I just need more data? Would you be able to clarify? Of course, if you are looking to keep your method secret, I understand and thanks anyway.

Yes, but betting with the streak you are in complete control, you know the outcome. When you bet against a streak you have no idea what the outcome will be. So why do it when you don't have to.

LOL That doesn't make sense but I think I know what you mean. Bet against and lose the streak goes further so you have the same predicament. Bet with it and lose you're done.

The late Lyle Stuart said "bet with the trend or don't bet at all."

agree with the thought of following the trend.
But you can also get a big losing streak by trying to follow the trend and get a lot of breaks.
    Questions to ask:
    1. How to react in bad times with simple bets?
    2. What standards to follow? Or which sequences to follow in baccarat?

I suppose you've got to define what the trend is, no?

    This is everyone's quest.
Define patterns and find ways to explore them.
The famous quest for the "Holy Grail" lol.

Yes it does. You are only trying to make one unit so if you bet with the streak you know for an absolute fact that you're either going to make one unit or lose one unit. There are no surprises. Brt against the streak and you have no idea what's going to happen so you have no control.

Let's say I'm following the sequence and I get a bad variance. - 30 units for example.
    1. How would you go about recovering?

Would it stay at the same value hoping to get +30 and tie, or would the unit value go up?

What is your bankroll management in bad times?

Not if you only bet once. My goal is to make just one unit per session. Not to sit there and play and play and play. That just unnecessarily exposes your bankroll to risk. Why take that risk if you don't need to. Have a reasonable goal and make it in as few bets as possible. If your goal is $50 bet $50. But to do that you need a $500 bankroll 4 flat bettinging. If your bankroll is only $150 and you have a goal of $50, your goal is way too high. Your goal should be like $15. Most people way overbet their bankroll with an inadequate bet selection. You have to ask yourself are you a recreational player who's there to probably lose money or are you serious player. Serious players generally don't have a whole lot of fun. If you're looking to have fun and be a serious player you should find another hobby

Why are you following the sequence. If you win one unit you stop. If you lose one unit you stop. If you're playing to win more than one unit, and I don't recommend trying to make more than two or three at the most, you wait for the next betting opportunity.
